I said it on the Jackson thread, this guy is my top choice for who we should be getting....and I was told we would be battling relegation if we replaced jackson with the players I suggested.

2 pens in that hat trick. Quality player though, and defo the type of striker we need to complement Jackson.

I'm completely sold on him. Even if he didn't score last night he looked really sharp. His all-round game is fantastic.

Each of those goals probably added 20m to his price tag, though.

Refreshing to watch a proper striker - rather than the dross we have up front week in week out. 
 

Good news is Arsenal apparently still have their eyes on Sesko. 

Been signing his praises for a long time now so it's nice to see people finally coming around to this but unfortunately too late now, will have his pick of clubs come the summer. 

How's the club's relationship with Sporting? I know they wanted to buy a stake last summer when they were negotiating with Ugarte.

Unfortunately, I think so too. I would personally prefer him over osimhen as well.

It's wishful thinking unfortunately.

I do think that we need to go in for this guy in January and pay whatever it takes. We might be able to sweeten the deal with a player swap as well but we need to go in heavy on Gyokeres in this window. If we faff around somebody else will get him now and Man Utd will definitely get him in the summer.

If our relationship with Sporting is still sound we could potentially offer Guiu on loan and strike a deal for Gyokeres for next summer. 

Right now, the only thing that will prevent us from getting Top 4 is Sanchez and if one of Colwill/Fofana get injured. 

He scored 4 for Sweden tonight.

I thought I read he will be available at around £65 million in the summer as part of an agreement with the player.

If we went in for him in January I’d imagine it would take another £15 million on top of that. 
 

He looks the part though.

Currently putting up numbers to rival, and dare I say even surpass, prime Haaland at the moment.

To have two four-goal hauls and a mere hat trick (against Man City LOL) in his last 5 games is insane !

Hard to get too excited about a hat-trick that includes 2 penalties and 4 against a team, outside the top 100, with lower than Championship level defenders. Perspective - Azerbaijan doesn’t have a defender valued at over 1m and the whole squad is worth less than Badiashile. 

There’s a reason no Prem team bought him when he was at Coventry (43 in 116 games) and if he’s really as good as people now think all the scouts should be fired for not seeing the potential.

He's the top scorer in the Portuguese League, top scorer in the Nations League and top scorer in the Champions League including a hattrick against City.

Do you want him to score against teams he hasn't played?

 

Winstanley wanted to sign him when he was a scout at Brighton.

Think that’s a bit unfair.

He was still developing at Coventry and probably wasn’t ready. He is now.

Lampard wanted him at Everton before he went to Portugal.

Its exactly this kind of football snobbery opinion that stops people looking for talent in the lower leagues of English football. The championship is probably a better standard of football than Portugal. Every Forest fan i'm friends with tells me he was the best striker they'd seen at that level and were annoyed they didn't go for him.
