Completely unknown quantity. Brighton moved him on. Looked good in the Championship for Coventry. Scored goals in Portugal, a league of suspect quality outside the top handful. Scored 3 against Farense, the bottom team, winless this season. They were asking something like 85m for him. A ridiculous price, obviously, because there have been no takers.

Majority of players that move from Portugal to England are successful. I agree the price was extreme but they did not want to sell and to be honest he's probably one of the most complete striker in the world so it's fair enough.

    That's the point, had we signed him when he was we'd have saved loads of money and solved our ST positions but if he was even causually linked to us we'd hear about how he's a championship player and should go nowhere near him.

    Ah, get you. Fair point actually.  Just shows that a lot of it is pot luck. It's often about the chemistry of the moment and the group you're with.

    Fluffed his first chance then scored his next one. Looks really sharp though. Very tall but extremely fast. Similar to Haaland. Gyorekes surprisingly doesn't score much headed goals.

    Why on earth would he want to go to Utd? They create nothing for their forwards. He'd essentially be wasting three years if he goes there.
