You can't be serious The board can't be blamed for every single one of these shocking performances. Poch is a sh*t coach, without Palmer we'd finish 15th. He needs to go.
April 23, 20242 yr I've now come around to thinking Poch' is actively trying to force a sacking. we're the laziest team in the prem, and obviously none of them fear anything happening for lack of performance. Badiashile was so poor Mourinho would have pulled him after 10 min's. At least Potter got the defence working properly.
April 23, 20242 yr I dont think its so relevant anymore whether or not Poch deserve to be sacked. We are very close to the point now where something just need to change. Clearlake wont walk away, the sporting directors wont get sacked, another overhaul of the squad in the summer is beyond us financially it seems. So what do we change?

We're playing a much better team, who are more fired up, away, at full strength, when we've got our 2 best players on form out injured. No one's managing anything better than a 5 nil defeat tonight. I'd judge him on the whole season, where he's not been the right manager. But I still think if he gets us to 6th he deserves another year. The exception for me is if we lose to Tottenham at home. I never forgive that.

The board decided to offload every single experienced player in the team and sign a brand new starting XI, not to mention signing players with injury records which has helped cause the mess that we are in now. You can't seriously think everything right now is on Pochettino, any manager would've struggled with this job, would some have done better? Of course. But this was never going to be an easy job for any gaffer coming in. Which doesn't at all excuse the massive failures on Pochettino's part.

Who also had the final say and sign off on the new manager? Edited April 23, 20242 yr by El regreso

He didn't have his best available players tonight, but there was zero reason for him to pick Disasi and Badisashile over Chalobah and Silva. If you don't have your best players available to you, then set your team up so you don't get hammered. Go ultra defensive, play counter attacking football, change SOMETHING. Set the team up so Arsenal don't create chance after chance and destroy us 5-0. I would take a Mourinho park the bus special over this any day.

April 23, 20242 yr Sums it up by journo: “#CFC a mess. No threat, belief, precision or goal threat without Palmer. Pochettino will get more stick from the fans but he’s not the real problem. Recruitment is, squad balance is, character is. Club leadership is. Team taken apart by a vastly superior” Problems go way beyond Poch unfortunately

April 23, 20242 yr All the people they have hired are from mid table clubs. It’s no wonder we are also mid table.

Take out Palmer and we almost certainly finish lower than where Potter and Lampard had us. There isn't any argument for him staying next season.

Personally I'm happy he didn't pick Chalobah and Silva because we need them for the next game which is more important. And the games to judge him are over the whole season (where I think he's not been good enough) or Tottenham at home (let's see) But tonight isn't the night to change anyone's mind from give him another year, to sack him in the morning.

How about the worse defensive record of any chelsea manager in the prem era? Tonight was just another awful day at the club, of which there has been many in the last 2 seasons, and Pochettino has some responsibility for plenty this season. Enough is enough.
April 23, 20242 yr Get this clown out of the club before we’re left with no match going supporters!! Shocking that most of our support has to leave after the third to avoid the embarrassment that this spurs clown serves every week!!
