Well Utd aren't going to beat Arsenal on the weekend....mind you we have Sheff Utd away...so we are guaranteed to f**k that game up.

Knowing us, you’re probably right.

What an amazing game for both good and bad reasons.

No better way to win and hoping against hope it build some confidence as there were 4 or 5 players with none tonight.

Pretty depressing to read some of the comments on this thread though. Some are getting close to being pissed off that we won. I get the Poch hate as he’s hardly been a success so far but we have to give the manager time. If not him then the next guy. Arteta really struggled at Arsenal in his first season. Similar comments by some of their fans at the time.

Having said that, some of the defending by us tonight was atrocious. None of the back 5 played well tonight. Gusto is class but the space he left Garnacho in for most of the second half was criminal. That’s down to the manager.

Enzo made mistakes but he always looks to pass forward. He’s 100% worth persevering with though as is Caicedo. I’m totally over their price tags and the question now is “are they good enough to play for Chelsea?” I think the answer is yes for both of them. They will both get better imo.

My mind is made up on Gallagher. Good player and love his energy but he’s not productive enough overall this season and his first touch isn’t the best. Take the money.

Subs did well so a tiny bit of kudos to the manager for that.

Might have to look out some oxygen in the next few weeks as we soar to the heady heights of 7th. Think I said at the start of the season we’d be between 6th or 8th and that would be acceptable. Most posters were of a similar mind. Mind you I thought we’d be a much better team than we are at the moment.

Id much prefer to be consistently good or consistently crap tbh.
Consistently being both in almost every game is a nightmare.

Not sure I can agree with that last part. we were consistently crap for the last part of last season and it was no fun at all.

I get that. I meant if Poch wasn’t getting any results he’d already be gone and the toxicity would disappear. If we went on a winning run the Ill feeling also goes.

Every game feels as if he’s in limbo.

Fed up with pundits on TV and Talksport continually talking about how many injuries Utd have had, Liverpool have had, Newcastle have had, Aston Villa have had, that Brighton have had, that Wolves have had, but not once, not once do they mention the catastrophic injuries we have had all season.

As bad as Potch has managed this team both on and off the pitch, you cannot over look that for the most part he's had to play a second string team, especially in defence.  Yesterday's game the back 4 including the back up keeper (debatable) the second choice RB / LB / CB's,  no wonder the defence was chaotic and a shambles and it's been like that most of the season.

Totally agree regarding injuries. Can't agree with "no wonder the defence was chaotic" - those 4 players are all internationals for either France or Spain - they've hardly been plucked from the Outer Mongolian 4th Division.

last part translation goes something like this:

WHAT'S JUST HAPPENED AT STAMFORD BRIDGE!?

IT'S A WONDER KID COLE PALMER THAT JUST HAPPENED!!!

THE SON OF MANCHESTER CITY

HAS JUST HAMMERED A HAT-TRICK AGAINST MANCHESTER UNITED

AND EVERTHING COMPLETELY TURNED ON ITS HEAD

Does seem written for United and Mount to get their revenge on use the cup final though...

Nah, that would mean beating Fodens City.
