No comparison, not that you were really making one. BPC was strong, mature for his years. Trafford is roughly the same height but nowhere near physically or mentally strong enough at PL level. He has ability, sure, but needs a lot of development.

    2. simply stating the fact we're now buying from the reduced section of the supermarket. Is he better than Chalobah who we will more than likely sell to pay for the new arrival. Is this signing better than we already have or coming from a team that conceded two fewer goals than us during our worst defensive season for about 25 years? 

    3. given how all our signings so far have failed to hit top speed under the new ownership, will this one improve our starting 11...

    United and Newcastle were both after Tosin. 

    He checks a lot of boxes of what we need in a CB and he was free. Add the fact this was presumably pushed by Joe Shields, we arguably got the best deal for a CB this summer in a market that is pretty bleak with quality CBs.

    So we're Liverpool when they signed Van Dijk, Mane etc from Southampton?

    Loads of signings from teams lower down the league have gone on to be top quality, its just nonsense to claim what club they are at is always an indicator of quality

    Shopping for southampton's best players and dropping 100 milion in the process V getting a 26 year old freebie from a side who conceded 2 goals less than us. If that's a valid comparison as you see it... blimey.
