Leicester City vs Chelsea (PL) Sat 23rd November 24 12:30 GMT

Featured Replies

Sanchez was as ropey as isual

Cucurella is the first name on the team sheet.

Colwill was solid.

Fofana has really come into his own this season, becoming a complete player

Badiashille was solid.

Enzo was MOTM, proper performance.

Caiceido has put all doubts to rest.

Felix held his own today, bought the ball down and played some lovely football.

Palmer instrumental.

Madueke. Madueke. Madueke. Is he good? Is he sh*t? What is he? Took the offside goal well, missed a sitter and then blocked Palmers. See’s a lot of the ball and does very little with it, always seems to shoot when he should cross and cross when he should shoot.

Jackson wasn’t atrocious today.

Maresca, sort your sh*t defensive coaching out.

What scares me is that I don't think he is capable of coaching a defense. There's a lot of over-reliance on us just outscoring the opposition and even that doesn't seem to be going as well as he might have planned. Sure, we are winning narrowly when we would have lost these kind of matches last season and before that but sooner or later, our luck might run out. Until then, I'll enjoy us sitting in the top 4 but I'm just not seeing massive improvement that would comfort me that we will remain in the top 4 come end of the season.

Leicester were abysmal and it shouldn't have been anywhere near as close as that. It just shows that no matter the opposition, or how much we dominate, we can never fully control a game of football. We are consistently a mixed bag throughout the 90 minutes and some of Maresca's tactics are a big reason for this.

Very, very fortunate we played this woeful Leicester side because we performed just how we normally do after the international break. Simply no execution in the attacking end.

Needed the win regardless so happy about that. 2nd half we dominated start to finish. That penalty was a blue moon for Leicester.

Very poor refereeing decisions today.. madueke had a stinker .. badiashile proving he is modern day Titus Bramble.. and Sanchez well he is just sh*t.

I think Enzo deserves it, but it's impossible to leave Caicedo out of the polls.

Yeah Caicedo has been consistently our best player for weeks now, I just wanted to switch it up a bit! Haha

Good performance, dominant.
Our approach play is very good let down by poor execution

Cucarella improvement has been vast

Enzo good throughout

Jacko a good finish after persistence

Good three points against a poor Leicester team on what could have been a difficult match given the blustery conditions

Palmer had the fortune Gods on duty today otherwise he'd have had his return set around 2026 already. It truly is a disgrace that Ndidi was allowed to stay on the pitch after that tackle.

Agreed they should have had 2 sent off.

Won in spite of Maresca?

Our attack really should have delivered more goals. No real complaints with the defense for a change but the forward line has fallen off a cliff recently.

2 world class strikes from Caicedo and Neto followed by this is not at the standard we need.

Yes and no. I do think the players need to take some responsibility. There are times where they feel too comfortable and I feel like they don't take enough care of the situation. Too care free at times. I do feel like all of the issues defensively, like playing it out of the back, players not synchronised with the offside trap, silly mistakes off the ball, it's tactical more than anything. The players are also instructed to slow play down at times and I just find that detremental to our overall game. It's hard to play that way and then suddenly spark into life and pick up the pace. I also really hate how we hang on to the ball in defence and wait for the opposition press, it's so naive to expect that to work so easily. More often than not, I find our players caught on their toes when the opposition decides to press as a team. It works against individual pressing, but when the opposition press as a group, we lose the ball.

I can't believe the pundits are believing Maddidi should of won a penalty. Fofana did not move his legs and even more surprising Joe Cole thought the earlier incident was a penalty. Ndidi should have been sent off which would have changed the game completely in any case. Badiashile was brilliant. Colwill good too as well as Cucurella. Caicedo was good. Annoying we conceded that goal at the end. So close to a rare clean sheet. Palmer was at fault there as he gave the ball away too quickly. Either way, big win and deserved. Hope Neto is back for the next game.

VAR with a 25% success rate today.

Missed the Red for the foul on Palmer.

Missed the Red for the foul on Felix.

Didn’t give the 1st Leicester PK.

Did (correctly) give the 2nd Leicester PK.

you forgot offside goal

Forget the penalty they should have been down to 10 or even 9 before that.

The refereeing standards are abysmal

I think you’re all forgetting it’s Chelsea, VAR should have intervened and sent the ref to the screen, away from that, we have given away 4 penalties (that have been awarded), more then any other team, have 6 more bookings then any other team, Refs have it in for us no doubt

I disagree. The lack of a red card was for sure bad, but if the refs were truly against us, they would have given Leicester that first penalty shout. We also got lucky a few weeks ago when Fofana grabbed a players hand and it wasn't given. Face facts, we are the problem, we are giving these refs a decision to make because our players are ill disciplined, lack composure and just make stupid mistakes.

You won’t see many VAR red cards now. They are going with referee’s call on a lot of decisions to keep the game flowing. It was poor officiating, the ref could have shown the red and let VAR decide if it was a good call or not.
