Taking out the fact none of them are actually currently good enough for Chels (or maybe they actually are and we’ve just fallen so far)

But does anyone genuinely believe Pedro Neto is a better player than Garnacho? I know Garnacho isn’t great but come on! He’s light years ahead of the head down donkey.

I think hes got more output than Garnacho, but only in a way that eating a 1 week dead rat is slightly better than eating a 2 week dead rat.

You promise?

lol. Who knows what our Sporting Directors will decide. Garnacho is such a predictable player and you know exactly what he is going to try to do every bloody time he gets the ball. I am not a fan. I know he has his fan base on here - there are a few around here who seem to really love the blonde winger boys (Mudryck and Garnacho), but I am not sure if that blonde boy love is really based on their footballing ability. Who knows? Who cares. Fact is Garnacho is not good enough. Garnacho is very predictable and it's not working.

Last year we let Madueke and Sancho go and we replaced them with Esta-wow! . . .and Garnacho and Gittens. Clearly a downgrade with G and G. Obviously Gittens will go out on loan (nobody is going to buy him) or he will hang around the squad a bit longer before going out on loan. Garnacho might do well in the Spanish or Italian league? Pedro Neto is worth keeping around as he is a very decent squad player.

time will tell. of course we shall continue to support any player in a chelsea shirt. AND [and this will be outrageously controversial] I still see more potential in Gittens than Garnacho. Yep. I said it. lol.

What does 'threat' mean in that context?

A concept created in 2018 by some guy from arsenal. Essentially when they move the ball/carry the ball from a less dangerous zone, to a more dangerous zone. The Garnacho loophole is that he’s great at getting his head down and running forward without a plan, or the ability to actually take on a man, just bomb it down and hope for the best, great cheat code for this metric.

Hes more a threat to us than the opposition at times, he loses the ball and they break, he completely loses his defensive responsibilities, they score.

So it's a measurement of ball progression? That's useful to know, thanks.

He also can't seem to run forward without leaving the ball behind him. This often kills the momentum of our attacks.

Keep coping.

As you ‘alluded’ to previously, all that matters is the here and now (Garnacho’s past foolishness as a person, horrible stats, and eye test failures) omitting, fresh slate, new season. Pedro Neto will have more end product this season than Garnacho, despite your attempt to now put asterisks over the latter; 3 extra seasons omg??, Pedro Neto a grandpa at 25 lol, but but Garnacho this, Garnacho that..

Strap yourself in, gonna be a long season. 007 incoming.

Neto 11 G/A in 2099 minutes

Garnacho 9G/A in 1195 minutes

Neto will never have more end product.

Enjoy these moments, won’t be many. (Back to regular scheduled programming real soon)

And never said anything about minutes 😉 - since you have a track record of pointing out the technicalities of peoples posts on here; might as well pull that card back at you. Bet that celebration was dampened a little when you realised Neto got the assist.

As stated many times, rate neither player, the bar is low in this iteration of Chelsea; so here we are.

Neto vs Garnacho is the new Messi vs cr7

Argentinian vs Portuguese superstar

Or more like Apple vs Orange, which ironically also applies to Messi vs CR7.

It's funny to discuss wingers which despite the lack of experience (18 and 21yo) we actually have pretty good options there.

Won’t be many? It’s the third time this season already he’s had multiple G/A in the same game. Defensive juggernaut and attacking superstar Pedro Neto in his prime this season has done it once for example. If Garnacho had Lomba’s minutes he’s getting double his output. This isn’t up for discussion any longer, it’s categorical fact over multiple seasons.

Did really well off the bench, took his goals well, ran up plenty of blind alleys as usual, but overall much more effort from him.

I really like Garnacho and Neto, Both on their day are useful players to have but the problem is consistency. They show glimpses of World Class ability in moments and could go on a run of 2 or 3 games where they will be completely anonymous.

With Garnacho its somewhat understandable due to his young age however Neto has been incredibly underwhelming in the last few games because with his form in the early part of the season I was expecting him to kick on and have a sort of defining season where he establishes himself as our starting winger.

He has been starting games since he was 18yrs, a player with 68 PL starts isn’t a young player anymore.

Wouldn’t read much into his performance against Arsenal; the game had opened up in the 2nd half, and was in transition. That is where he thrives. He isn’t a starter for a top PL team where clubs sit back and hit you on the break.

I like garnacho - and wanted him here. I also like neto and wanted him here. The problem with neto is that his decision making is wrong 99 times out of 100. He cuts in/back when he should bomb forward, shoots when he should pass and over/under hits passes when he does finally make a good choice.

Garnacho is by far the better footballer, with a better footballing brain. Not close. Neto seems much more likeable though!

Both Neto and Garnacho are average players, none of them deserves the amount of pages, stats and graphs written on their threads to show which one is worse. They'd be an OK bench option, but let's just agree that we need to improve the left wing option massively if we want to challenge for anything.

This.

Virtually no point arguing who is better given they are both ass, but here is where we find ourselves given the state of this football club.

Under normal circumstances I'd want to improve both of them, but that won't ever be constructive because we will 100% replace them with poorer and less experienced options.
