Why single him out? There’s 10 others that question applies to in the second half.

He's supposed to be our leader, our captain and a world class player, but played in the wrong position the game passes him by. Thus one of our best weapons was neutralized. Right now Enzo is more of a captain than Reece.

You know how Villa brought on fresh players to replace some of their knackered ones? Are we allowed to do that too?

This is one of my biggest problem with Maresca. Subbbb

Supposed to be a world class player is right. Either he’s still carrying an injury or he can’t run now so he’s not the Reece James of old. Speed was always one of his best weapons and it wasn’t there today. Also being a leader doesn’t even require him to be on the pitch so you can’t blame any leadership failing with on the position he plays.

Chelsea fans are already planning a protest against the owners and all things they have installed at this club, and they will fume even more now.

Genuinely don't understand how people make a living out of this sh*te. Do people actually get paid for this? They must do or else why bother.

How has Simon Phillips been able to do an article where the entire content amounts to a single sentence quoting some nonsensical and totally unsubstantiated comment from another bloke who is also just winging out.

I am assuming the guy has cheated at this as well and got some chatsh*t gpt bot to do the work for him.

You also have to fact check everything they write as the attention to detail is shocking.

This article : "I don’t think one single Chelsea fan is going to buy this ‘update’ this morning off the back of Chelsea only winning 1 game in the last 11 played in all competitions and it becoming somewhat of a crisis situation once again as it so often has been under this ownership."

We've been bad, but we actually have 3 wins in the last 11 ...

Lets face facts it was a good effort by a poor team

Goal Keepers easy targets especially as there is no defence bad mistake sh*t happens

Colwill does not see trouble and every match plays a suicide pass to a midfielder who has two waiting to pounce

Cucurella works hard but to short for a defender

James been a waste of time for too long only looking to move on will coast until then

Gusto works hard has done better than James

Caicedo total midfield work horse shame he has no help only real mid available

Palmer disappears in second half excellent in a good team liability in a team that has no workers in midfield like ours

Fernandez Lacks the engine and stature does not work back

OK DID MARESCA SAY THIS?

"I'm really, really annoyed with the things that are in our hands – which is the performance and the result.

"I'm talking about the standards of the players and the team we played today, me included.

"We have to look in the mirror [for] what we can do better, and the will, the desire, the way we run and the way we want [to be champions].

"You have to deliver and it has to be with quality to break down a really good team. We have to play much better, and with more quality."

OF COURSE HE NEVER SAID IT, THAT WAS WHAT A REAL MANAGER SAID (AS MUCH AS I HATE HIM - ARTETA) AFTER YESTERDAYS DEFEAT

Is the Premier League getting faster and more direct?

THIS IS WHAT HIS BOSS PEP HAS SAID

"Today, modern football is not positional. You have to ride the rhythm."

As the forefather of 'juego de posicion', the 'positional play' that has dominated world football since his Barcelona side won everything 15 years ago, this is a sizeable admission, Is this the beginning of the end for the 'Pepification' of modern football?

Looking at Premier League statistics over the past eight seasons, since Guardiola's first title in England, we can see a clear trend of increases in high turnovers, pressing - shown by passes per defensive action (PPDA) coming down - plus fast breaks and direct attacks.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO TELL MARESCA POSSESSION BASED FOOTBALL IS OUT OF DATE

I thought we would get a draw at Villa, though was too late to make a prediction maybe if the keeper saves that effort we get a point.

Looked at BBC stats we had more shots and more shots on target though of course this does not mean we should win yet illustrates we were in with a shout.

Neto looked decent in his 9 role, Fernandez looked better though both him and Palmer did not make the best of opportunities.

Didn't see enough of James to comment objectively though realise he probably saved Caicedo getting a red by holding him back from attacking the ref, that was important.

Rashford has for a number of years been inconsistent yet he fancied it yesterday and played well from the bench.

Watching the Everton game yesterday their players aren’t top players but they worked hard on and off the ball.

Also they mixed between possession and the long ball. They put teams under pressure and bypass the press.

They aren’t as good as us (supposedly!) but under Moyes they look better and more threatening.

We have too many players that don’t look like they are putting a shift in.

Becoming numb to it now so the defeat doesn't ruin my weekend like it used to. Any mug could have predicted we would lose after taking the early lead - we are just a side of 11 individuals with little in way of cohesion. So, so predictable.

I guess Neto was the pick yesterday, followed by Caicedo, as at least those two put in a lot of effort and both had good moments, but that's not saying a lot as the rest were woeful. Villa clearly have a much better coach than we do as he identified the issues and changed things and then there only looked like being one winner, whilst baldy stood there scratching his head and rubbing his chin. The bloke is clueless and has managed to make one of the most expensive squads look like one of the worst in the PL. Think even Saints will fancy their chances this week.

Maresca team talk “dont worry lads, Bournemouth blew up, Newcastle can beat Forest tomorrow and Liverpool can do City, doesnt matter if we lose, i can see plenty of improvement , and more then anything i dont expect us to get CL this season, so just go out and enjoy it”

How right was i

I would love to see the current squad list with their transfer fee next to them including the ones on loan.

This alone should be alarming to the clowns buying them.

Soo much wasted money

Our next 2 matches are at home to Southampton and then at home to Leicester.

Anything other than 6 points and we're doomed, doomed I tells ya.
