Every other continent looks forward to the Club World Cup (whatever the format) but for some reason we think it is beneath us.

What happens to yellow cards in this tournament. Are they wiped out when it's all over and done?

Most people are dismissive of the format rather than the tournament itself. They have a point, it's hardly a Club World Cup when a lot of the best sides aren't even in it.

That was a pretty dreadful watch outside of the goal.

We are playing a poor American team, PSG thrashed Athletic we will get embarrassed if we play them

UCL is not the best teams and nor is World Cup. I think at the point of last 8 only very good teams are there.

In general sense though I agree.

Would be lovely if there was a league like that. It would be Super!

We certainly have some very capable ballers in this team it’s just we’ve also padded it out with some absolute mediocrity.

For every Palmer there is a Madueke.

The only thing this game is doing is reminding me of what a bang average coach Maresca is.

I just feel like he gets everything wrong.

The slow recycled passing.....ass football. The players are crap at possession football and there are too many players with loose touches.

Madueke on the left......he's worse than ever.

Cucurella in attacking areas....he takes up attacking positions that I would prefer other players to take up and he makes playing out of the back slow because we lose an extra body in defence or midfield.

Palmer in the middle....the more he plays there, the more he looks like a bang average footballer. Just move him to the right and stop being so f**king stubborn.

The Chelsea app says 41k - that seems generous. I looked this morning and tickets in our section were still $200 a piece.

I don’t think the price is the issue given the size of local population (albeit expensive). It’s 3pm on a Monday - just an odd time got a sporting event, for global tv audience reasons

I’m sure the knockouts will sell out
