I've watched him a few times and the talent is there, but he has no power right now. He doesn't have the power in his ball striking to make it to a higher level yet.I do agree though that the young players we are signing are no better prospects than we already have at the club. We're basically just telling our young players that there is no pathway to the first team and you're being built up to sell.

January 24Jan 24 PR spin in full effect. Didn’t want to buy Maignan because they believe Penders will be elite. As if the two were similar age and not at polar opposite ends of their footballing careers. These sporting directors have more plot armor than season 5 of Stranger Things.

January 31Jan 31 Author Absolute buffoons.. 100 nil down the drain for a left winger.. how are these two clown an upgrade over Sancho Madueke..like all things blueco individuals out of their depth .. ruining the club each deal at a time..
January 31Jan 31 Pedro, Delap, Gittens, Garnacho, Buonanotte, Hato, Essugo, that was their first team transfers for this season. 4 of them are arguably not even Premier League level (Delap, Gittens, Garnacho, Hato) Buonanotte was a pointless loan that has buggered off to Leeds and Essugo is another sick note. Pedro is the only good one and we don't know if his current form is just another one of his purple patches. These two twats need to go, and Joe Shields needs to go with them. This is just negligence at this point. Edited January 31Jan 31 by Scott Harris

That is the American way, where the coach is the smallest part of the system. The thinking goes as long as you put together a talented core of players, long term it will pay dividends irrespective of the coach. A parallel is the Lakers manager, Rob Pelinka who is in the job because he was Kobe Bryant’s former manager. He has been in the role for 8yrs with his only notable achievement being winning the NBA championship during COVID. He also appointed a rookie coach who was an NBA veteran, and TV analyst with zero coaching experience to lead one of the biggest teams in the league.

February 2Feb 2 Interesting how things have changed at Chelsea FC over the course of the last few years. Back in the day, we were the most mentioned name during the transfer window, for two reasons. First, we were going after big names and best players and those things always draw public attention. Second , because of our reputation players' agents and journos would constantly use the club's name to serve their own agenda, so Chelsea was also regularly mentioned and linked to a bunch of players we had nothing to do with. Now it's PR briefs coming out of Egbaly's ass which end up being bullsh*t anyway, when we fail to sign yet another footballer because we "are happy with our squad, believe in the players we've got," etc. And the main transfer news from Chelsea, wait for it.... it's another youngster who's coming back from loan at Strasbourg. 😄
February 2Feb 2 Many said we would do nothing this window as our uefa ffp constraints would not allow it. Here we are.
February 2Feb 2 Author Shambles.. chasing top 4 .. with no left wing or back up in the midfield.. clueless this lot.
February 2Feb 2 All those briefs that we were going to be busy Making sales too, only to be left needing to try and loan out Disasi and George as no one will buy them.
February 2Feb 2 maybe they will talk of the markets changing and that buying is falling out of favour and that clubs are becoming more cautious and are opting for loans with or without buy options. Edited February 2Feb 2 by OTL

Here we are. There is a theory floating around that ever since UEFA closed the 7yr contract loophole for accounting purposes in 2023, the club has been limited in how much they can spend on transfers. I think the number is £55m; we haven’t spent more than that on a single transfer, couple that with the £150k/w wages headroom it gets trickier signing top quality in the market.

February 2Feb 2 They likely see recalling Sarr and James' versatility to play in midfield as the solutions. We find ourselves in the very same situation 1 year later, where we are scraping for Top 4/5. In a season where we should've finished in a Champions League space comfortably. I don't care anymore. Even if we do qualify we'll just see more Garnacho's and Delaps as the proven quality alongside more 18-20 year olds.If not qualifying means the SDs are actually held accountable, then so be it. BUT the SD's are working under the rules of the process that our owners have implemented. So much so that a few months ago they were rewarded with extended contracts up to 2031 in appreciation for the work they have done . This is the way our owners think is best. ,!!

For example everyone here know that with semenyo, no chance. Oscar Bobb or some random player that we have never heard of, now that is more likely 😂😂😂
