This must surely be the first competitive fixture that we've ever had in the month of July ?

I'm looking forward to the game, a later kick-off time hopefully means cooler weather and a better performance from us.

It won't be easy with our best player out, but we have enough quality to see us through. I'd like to see us go back to two proper wingers and have Palmer in the middle, so Reece as the inverting fullback and Noni on the right please, Enzo! Having Jackson back is also a positive, so we don't have to see the false 9 BS from Palmer once Delap gets tired.

I hope Cucu pockets Estevao, he needs a solid introduction to level he has to reach to play for us regularly.

Or he completely ties him up in knots and shows his level is already there. That’d be better, if not a little unlikely from what I’ve seen of him in this comp so far.

Palmeiras will missing both of their starting CBs -- one being the skipper. Ah their LB is also suspended.

Jackson has one advantage right now, which is that he knows the system well and his presence may help Cole to play a bit better.
