I know we have played better opposition but Tosin and Chalobah have been immense at the back. Won everything and complimented each other well. Both athletic, fast and strong. I like it. Gusto was much assured this evening also.

agree though it helps alot we've been playing against these Brazilian teams that don't press or apply much pressure when playing out from the back. I'd feel nervous about going in with that defense against PSG or Real Madrid.

Same with Andre Santos against Palmeriras. Played wonderfully but definitely was helped by not being pressured too much in possession

I don't see it as being dull. A bit of a chess match and in this climate as well. Much better to bide time at times. If this was Prem style football 3 players would be injured per game.

In general over the last 15 games, the consensus has certainly been that the football has been very underwhelming (to be kind). I don't see why you can't acknowledge that evissy !

Yeah Caicedo rolled his ankle and it looked pretty bad. Hope it's not too bad -- and little to no ligament damage.

Santos played well and I actually liked him better with Caicedo next to (really behind) him. Nice passes and did really well on time anticipating the play in D.

Jackson looked good once he got in then it was poor decision after poor decision until vanishing... what a frustrating player indeed! Madueke also did not look as sharp as last timel perhaps the transfer is indeed in his mind.

Joao Pedro looks like the nailed in starter in my book; he's just better than the other two at pretty much everything.

Tosin did well, but I'd not call him quick.

This is not going to be enough for either Madrid or PSG tho. The defending and goalie simply aren't good enough against either.

Their midfield will dogwalk us without Caicedo, really hope he's fit.

Man Caicedo against PSG midfield would be a fantastic watch. I reckon he can handle them all on his own.

Nope, Caicedo is definitely not right. Probably won't be able to get fit for the final, so Santos to come in for him.

As long as Coco the clown doesn’t stick James in midfield and his boyfriend Gusto at RB

Hard to call it underwhelming when you win 13 of 15. We have some good building blocks here for the coming season.

Jackson won the ball to create the chance (which he f*cked up), Cole didn't

We have some interesting double standards at times

Qaz, it makes not one iota of difference that he won the ball. Big deal. He is a 6'2" centre-forward. That's a big part of what he is supposed to do, and let's be honest, he should do it an awful lot more than he does.

The point is we have seen him do the same thing time and time again. I don't mind strikers being greedy if the are capable of finishing a decent percentage of those efforts, AND, they don't have a simple pass available to a team mate in a better position who is practically certain to score.

What this was is yet another clear cut example of Jackson's lack of any football intelligence whatsoever, any calmness, and his "f**k the team, me first" attitude.

I cannot believe that there are still people defending this idiot. We need to get shot of him at all costs but no other club seems interested. Give Guiu his minutes as third striker.

He's talking about entertainment. That's why a world cup semi final stadium still wasn't a sell out, even at a tenner a ticket.

Soft? You have no idea. This isn’t British drizzle. Spend some time in adverse climates and you’ll quickly learn Mother Nature always wins.

The issue here isn’t the rain or the storm, it’s the risk. Some will say thats a lawsuit issue. Reality is it’s a human issue - it’s the right decision until it isn’t, when a life is lost. Football is not worth that. Sorry for the late night - deal with it.

Entire country scared of a bit of rain lmao

I know. It is a bit subjective. Our 'boring' style of football is for certain not the reason for the emptyish stands.

Let's build on this and not bicker on secondary things.

If she gets any closer, she will be kissing him 😆

There was a time when someone would post a picture like that with the question

"Would you"

To which some wag would respond with "Which one".

Ah, those were the days! Fking PC police.

This improvement in defence is very good to see. Nice to know one of Chalobah or Tosin (or both) can step in and nothing looks out of place.

Not sure how that would be at a full blooded PL tempo, but certainly looks good atm.
