Already cannot watch any more of this Arsenal v Southampton game. Southampton should already be 2 or 3 up. Why are Championship forwards so sh*t. The gulf is unbelievable. Southampton could have already been turning the screw on this Arsenal side, but they will choke like all these sides do.

Pardon?

From "quadruple is on" to back to back Cup losses.

Arsenal have Bournemouth, City and Newcastle next.

City have us, Arsenal and Burnley next.

Crucial weeks ahead. If only Bournemouth can take a point from Arsenal, it's game on. City are on the up and will trash us, we simply do not have a defence to match them.

Hope we don’t get Southampton or West Ham/Leeds in the semi, better to get either knocked out or beat a decent side in the semi-finals than humiliated in the final after an easy run.

I'll happily take Southampton in the semis and West Ham or Leeds in the Final 😎

Although we'll have to play well to get past the Saints LOL

Yes, purposefully turned it off and then Southampton scored. So I was too superstitious to start watching again lol. Just been refreshing the BBC website. Lol. In fairness I did say that I liked what the Southampton manager was doing.

Ahye suppose it can go that way too. Really can’t stomach another Wembley final loss, lost count now. Man City will be dying for it too, with them missing out on serious silverware.

Looks a case of Arteta not respecting the cup, too many changes and the Saints played cleverly especially up front, Scienza caught my eye not because of his missed chances just his running on the ball and cleverly bringing in other players to support the attack. They also worked very hard.

In defence they were very compact.

It bursts Arsenals record of invincibility they will now be conscious of not dropping points and I suspect no more risking Kepa in goal.

On Saints they won 5 of their last 6 and if they win the game in hand are in the play-off spaces.

Less that, I think, than they had a stinker against a seriously committed oppo. Defence was shambolic, especially Ben White. Saints too easily isolated individual defenders. And, yet again, wasted opportunities in front of goal. Without Gyökeres as a target they just fiddle around.

Or this week anyway ... 😎

Should have been a red

I did wonder when Havertz pulled back the ball for their goal whether they would turn the tie yet credit to the Saints.
