I'm not convinced Fofana will do okay. Getting thrown into a makeshift defence after coming back from injury isn't the best way to return to a team.

Interesting line up. We seem to suffer from international breaks more than most.

Forward line looks weak. Need a big game from J Pedro and Neto, and time for Gittens to show us more today. Also surprised by the defense - looks quite flat to me and gives me memories of Fofana vs Bournemouth. Surely Gusto or James could have started.

Presumably all of Chalobah, Fofana and Adarabioyo will form a back three in possession, with Hato playing the 'Cucurella role' (getting in the way a lot). I don't think we'll see any real change to the formation.

Probably wise to rest players where possible given the truncated summer break and the number of injuries we've already had. Our depth is better than last season too. Will be curious to see what Brentford are like with the main man and all of their big hitters gone.

Not sure why the pundit tagline for the game is "it's always interesting when these two meet". I guess they pummeled us once under Tuchel?
