Delap is starting to concern me, I thought he would be a lot better than this. I understand he hasn't had a great amount of game time but he's done very little with it. At least Pedro has had his moments who is someone else I'm not sold on.

The problem with players like Delap is, they can look decent in poor teams where they have a lot of space to work with because they tend to sit back and defend and counter attack. In a relatively dominant team like Chelsea (at least possession-wise), it's much more difficult because most teams park the bus against you and you're starved of space. In that case, you need a bit of skill to have an edge, and Delap doesn't seem to be a very skillful player, to put it mildly
