It’s riling me that Arsenal will win the league whilst being totally unremarkable. They’re no better than Leicester were in their title winning season when every other team said “we can’t be arsed, you can have it if you want”.

Long way to go yet ...

I don’t think they’ll win the league. They are starting to be found out, have a whole host of injuries. The festive games will be the true test. If they get past that and are still top of the table with a healthy gap then yeah they might win. Unless city gains some sort of momentum

I actually think Arsenal are worse. None of their players are better than Vardy, Mahrez and Kante were that season. Leicester were monsters on the counter that season too. Arsenal just play like a 2000's Stoke City with better players. It's working for them, but I think that says more about football around the world right now if things don't change by the end of the season.

Are we allowed to finally say Sanchez might actually be a very very good keeper 😅

I think he's always been a decent shot stopper, but we seem to have allowed him to use his judgement on when/how to play out from the back now, rather than have him play to a set plan that wasn't working and magnified his weaknesses.

Well done to him for the mental resilience to come back strongly from the errors

I'd agree with that. But I do feel he should have brought Palmer on for Neto, with 10 or 15 mins to go. That would have lifted the crowd, the players, and also put the fear of God into the Arsenal back line.

Agree with that Neto was starting to look tired too, think he was kept on for the defensive cover though which he did very well all game in all fairness to him.

Keeping 11 on the pitch is a must, we need to learn to play with our heads

Maresca got his tactics spot on in both halves

James cleat Mo M , just pipping Forfana

Interesting, even with 10 men we didn’t allow the area to be overloaded at corners, brave and rewarding

The young team is growing, holding the leaders to a few chances even when depleted will only help with confidence, now keep the 11 on the pitch. Caceido will be a loss for three matches we now though will get a decent rest

I'm a big fan of watching him confidently claim the ball and then run to the edge of the box to release us on the counter. Hopefully this Sanchez sticks around.

Those low shot saves where he seems to kill the ball instead of pushing it back into the middle is great to see too.

Neto pops up with the odd goal every now and then but he's generally sh*t. I don't understand why he (like Gusto) is always one of the first names on the team sheet

Correct

One of the worst teams at The Bridge this season. Even when we were down to 10, we still had them under control. And their support was also one of the worst, but that’s no news.

By the way, I've only seen what they showed in the stadium for Caicedo’s red card, and it did not look like mire than a yellow. Has Taylor done us again?

Dunno mate all commentators and people online saying it’s a clear red but in my eyes should have been a yellow not even that bad of a tackle

I agree, defensive contribution and he’s one of our top players with goal contributions it’s either him or gittens and I think Maresca prefers Neto

I quite liked the way that even with ten men we foiled their chaos corners late in the game by leaving three men up field and causing them to leave players covering them. Our penalty area was almost empty and Sanchez was able to claim the ball easily.

I've just caught the height lights.

You may remember they I try and judge it if it was the other way around and, imo, is 100% a red card and an idiotic challenge.

No other way to view that than 3 points dropped. Blame lies solely with Caicedo as well as we were cruising.

Over the course of a season though I imagine he earns us more points than he’s cost us today. Just one of those things.

Over the course of nearly every game he earns us more points than he (debatedly) cost us tofay.

Mourinho used to do this so Cech could do the same, no idea why we stopped all those years ago.

I’ll try to watch it but from what I saw repeated at the ground, Caicedo stepped on the foot but did not go high or anything. Yellow? Yes. Red? Not in my opinion, without having seen the repetition.

Diving tackle, studs first in to the ankle. Red imo.

Yes, just seen it. No complaints there. Could have easily been a yellow, we’ve seen many worse tackles get yellow, but I can’t complain.

To be in with a shot at the title yes, we needed to bea them.

100% red card.

If it was the other way round you’d be screaming red I’d guess.

I’m not complaining I’m just saying that we’ve seen worse tackles getting away with a yellow. And Taylor has got form with us, giving us cards that were not, that’s why I don’t give him the benefit of the doubt.
