January 2Jan 2 I just can't be arsed to post any thoughts on this subject at the moment.Every time I try my brain just feels insulted and says don't engage with this stupidity.
January 2Jan 2 I guess we just have to accept this is the guy and give him a least a bit of a chance. I'm not expecting much, though, especially since the model will never change under this ownership.

January 2Jan 2 Given the amount we have invested in players it's absurd that we look like bringing in this inexperienced bloke to manage them.Blue co.have described him as a fantastic talent but I don't see others fighting for his signature. No other top team in the Premier league has such a junior individual looking after the team. They are gonna struggle to sack their golden boy when the time comes. He's one of their own.Better managers than this fella have failed here.Bonkers to envisage him giving instructions to Reece Enzo Caicedo and Cole.

January 2Jan 2 Just watching a few highlights of their recent games. Heard a very familiar line from the commentator:"Rosenior's team failed to have a single shot on target in the first half, and they often lacked cutting edge in the final third."Oh joy.

In what way would he be less equipped than Rosenoir, who has never taken a top flight game1 hour ago, Sexyfootball said:Iraola looks perfect to me.Plays decent football.Gets the team performing better than the sum of the parts.Doesn't bat an eyelid when you strip away all his good players every season ... 😎He's been managing a well run club with zero expectations but staying mid table. No pressure. A fan base that is basically non existent. Done well when his players have been sold? Bournemouth are 15th and they've failed to win in ten games. Give over.At least Rosenior has had to deal with a fan base that cares about results and has managed a team in Europe
January 2Jan 2 Ultimately Boehly lost his position of authority following the disastrous appointment of Potter. If Rosenior appointment goes similarly, I suspect there will be similar pressure on Eghbali and co to step back from their role. Although it remains to be seen who would then step in. Maybe Boehly gets a second go? In the meantime we could be in a real mess if this doesn't work out.
January 2Jan 2 Only manager I'd actually give patience to is Cesc. Fits what these f**kwits are looking for and he resonates with the club. 13 minutes ago, forbzy said:Ultimately Boehly lost his position of authority following the disastrous appointment of Potter. What if the fanbase all turn on Eghbali? Surely the shareholders will act?
January 2Jan 2 Will be a joke of an appointment. We’re finished as a top club with these clowns and their decisions, bottom half finish and no trophies incoming.
January 2Jan 2 Really hope he is not the next coach. This could be a disaster on many levels, both internally and externally. Will put so much pressure on him from media, pundits and all the comes with the internet! Then there are players to convince, SD’s and medical people to say YES to.

January 2Jan 2 I know it’s hard for a lot of fans to start accepting this but it’s the new REALITY of Chelsea.I will fully zoned out of all this once’s he’s confirmed.

I think the fanbase would generally have an extra degree of patience with managers that had a previous and popular connection to the club and fans. Lamps, JT, and Cesc would fall into that category. Rosenior doesn't have that connection with us. Perhaps he would get more time if he was at Fulham where he spent some of his playing career.
January 2Jan 2 "L’Equipe understands that BlueCo are expected to pay Strasbourg a transfer fee to relieve Rosenior of his duties before making him join the Premier League side."How would that work given Blueco also owns Strasbourg? I imagine UEFA will be waiting with a big fine over some conflict of interests.
January 2Jan 2 We can’t do much but we can voice our disgust at the owners and this appointment but it has to be at the games before, during and after. I fear as a fanbase it just won’t happen thoughIt’s like watching your Labrador puppy drown and you can’t do a thing about it.Club is totally soulless now, I’ve never felt as alienated as a fan as I do today.

Strasbourg has basically become Chelsea’s B team

I hadn't realised he had been that bad until I dropped in on the Cherries forum and saw how disappointed all their fans were with him (they wish they'd bought Kepa instead!)The underlying management set up has been pretty sound for a small club competing in the PL with the big boys.Took an easy two points off us as well didn't he !

I'm just not buying that any manager at that club is dealing with pressure similar to that at Chelsea, and that its probably tougher dealing with the fan pressure at Strasbourg than those clubs.

I imagine Iraola will get a chance at a bigger club soon as he is well regarded. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the next Man United manager if and when they choose to part ways with Amorim.
January 2Jan 2 I guess we all knew deep down he would be Maresca’s replacement one day.Not my first choice but I will give him a chance. No point writing him off already, I mean he can’t do much worse than Maresca with the line ups.I’m so glad we’re not going to see bullsh*t like Gusto in the hole anymore. The noise of playing with wing backs gives me optimism, as we definitely do not have the quality to be playing 2 centre backs.
January 2Jan 2 Looks like Clearlake will be creating 2 problems from 1 now too lol:Pys on X: "🚨 🤯 Marc Keller, President of Strasbourg, could resign from his position. (@MohamedTERParis) https://t.co/bx5kzuwB0N" / X
