Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*

Amorim absolutely was the poster boy for the consequences of taking a "successful" manager from a weak league dominated by a handful of teams. I'm amazed he lasted 14 months. Bloke never seemed to have any clue what he was doing at any stage, and was so inflexibly welded to his 3-4-3 that never suited the personnel at his disposal that you'd have to question whether his UEFA coaching badges are actually real LOL

Would be interesting to see after all the similar Enzo talk of interference and I'm a manager not a coach spiel if managers like Glasner and Iraola reject them like some kind of mass protest from managers. Would love to see Utd appoint a Darren Fletcher or Southgate. Surely they can't be that stupid though.

You could be talking about any of our coaches since Tuchel, or future coach for that matter.

Wedded to his 3-4-3 certainly, regardless of lacking the personnel to make it work. Equally, Offshore Jim and his acolytes were perfectly well aware of his ideologies when they took three separate private jets to Portugal to convince him to join. Not at the end of the season but immediately because, they said, the job wouldn't be available at the end of the season. So, basically, the blame is shared.

Unless he is the next Pep or Alex Ferguson then it stands out as another poor Blue co signing in the making and we have had some howlers. Some are still in the building.

The risk is not worth taking.

It’s not going to change, doesn’t mean we should hound Rosenior before he’s even started. It’s making the worst out of a bad situation.

NO YOU ARE WRONG, PEP STARTED MANAGING AS BARCELONA B TEAM FOR 4 YEARS, BEFORE BEING PROMOTED AND THE REST IS HISTORY

ROSENIOR STARTED OUT AS WAYNE ROONEYS ASSISTANT, TOOK OVER AS CARETAKER GOT FIRED AFTER 12 GAMES,TOOK OVER HULL IN 13TH AND FINISHED THE SEASON 15TH, THEN GOT FIRED AFTER FINISHING 7TH THE FOLLOWING SEASON

HE HAS DONE NOTHING TO WARRANT TAKING OVER A TEAM THATS WON 5 PL AND 2 CL

I DONT WANT ANOTHER PUPPET

So Pep had even less experience than Rosenior then?

Derby fans wanted to keep him. Hull fans wanted to keep him. Strasbourg fans want to keep him.

The reality with Hull is that, after an ordinary first season, with a dodgy squad, he took them almost to the playoffs in his second season with a similarly dodgy squad. The Hull owner, who makes BlueCo look like geniuses, sacked him because he didn't like the style of play. Hull subsequently plummeted.

I'd agree with that assessment.

I like also how Santos developed under Rosenior, and Santos himself speaks glowingly about Rosenior's man management. Santos is clearly a very good player but we've had several promising players that have gone out on loan in recent times and none of them have had anything like the impact that Santos had last season, so I think credit for Rosenior is fair here. He also appears to have made something decent out of Moreira, who I initially thought was a complete BlueCo hospital pass to Strasbourg LOL

Rooney also says he was great. As did Chilwell. Everyone who has worked with him rates him

I'm fine with the appointment. It's an interesting story.

I don't think any manager is going to win us the league unless serious things change in the club strategy, so hiring a young Londoner who seems likable isn't the end of the world for me.

Come off it, are they going to say he was a complete tit? NO OF COURSE NOT

If we accept this sh*t then we will never ever get rid of the owners, dont come crying back on here when he fails just like Poch just like Potter just like Coco the clown

BLUECO OUT

It’s not about Rosenior, it’s about the f**king disappointment of knowing that we’ve gone from young-manager-with-potential-turned-sh*t to young-manager-with-potential-turned-sh*t since these owners took hold of the Club, and it’s the owners model and not going to change, so we all expect another young-manager-with-potential-turned-sh*t in Rosenior. Much like we’ve gone from Sancho to Neto to Garnacho to Gittens. Disappointment after disappointment.

Pep also has very nice words about Maresca….

Sooner or later, they surely have to get an appointment right LOL ... law of averages and all that.

Hope

So thats 2 "system" managers getting the boot in the first week of 2026, hopefully this sees that kind of coach now disappear and we never have to put up with inverted bullsh*t anymore.

Find it strange that so many are against getting in such a novice manager, while also praising Arsenal for giving Arteta a chance and time to build.

Main thing is Arsenal got rid of so much crap and recruited very very well from top to bottom. We cant compare ourselves to anyone because we've just blown away so much money. That cost of Gittens has made me lose all hope.

Hopefully we don’t get to see Sanchez inverting into the CB position, like Rosenior does with Penders at Strasbourg.
