Have you not watched our games? Sanchez makes exactly the same mistakes only more often.

We have two keepers - neither of them are any good. That's not down to LR - that's down to BlueCo. Same when you look at both benches tonight. PSG able to bring on top quality - we have the likes of Delap and Garnacho FFS.

Kvara cost as much as Pedro Neto.

You have to be blind to think Rosenior can manage at this level

Give him better players and he will - no problem. PSG are CL holders and a very good side and we more than matched them for 70 minutes. We lost due to poor keeper error, Reece messing up and PSG having a lot more quality to bring on to change the game.

We could have bought 30 million mars bars instead of Delap, which would have been about as useful.

Doesn't matter what keeper we get because they are all going to have the same issue. You simply cannot succeed with slow sideways passing out of the back, it's impossible. In the 30 years I have been watching football, I have only ever seen 2 keepers that were masters at passing the ball out of the back, Ederson and Neuer, everybody else looks dodgy, and because of this, the manager coaching them will have them play it quicker out of defence. Enrique modelled his PSG team around the weaknesses of the modern game and he's exploited it to perfection. This is why, as much as I disliked Maresca, didn't play that way in the CWC final. We were tight at the back off the ball and didn't expose our defenders and goalkeepers to PSG's strengths. Rosenior played right into PSG's strengths.

There isn't keeper in world football today that wouldn't get made a fool of with these tactics, it's just that some will make bigger fools of themselves than others.

The harsh reality is our squad isn’t good enough to compete with the best in Europe.

Yeah, we beat PSG in summer. We could have gotten a draw tonight if luck was on our side, and less braindead moments.

Despite the last 10 minutes, you could say the game was pretty close and could have gone either way. Deep down, we all could see that PSG are on a completely different level to us.

They looked comfortable passing the ball and progressing, we never did. We simply do not have the quality to play the football we’re supposed to.

The fact we’ve spent billions makes it even more embarrassing.

We lost due to PSG taking advantage of teams trying to play slow out of the back. They did the exact same thing to City last season.

Totally agree. And this isn't even just on Rosenior as it seems to be the strategy pushed by our SD's. I hope we make top 5 to qualify for Champs League but honestly we have more chance in Europa under Clearlake. Is there any chance that the SD's would get fired too if we miss out on Champs League?

Every Chelsea manager seems to go through a learning curve. After a particularly baffling performance from Sánchez, they will think 'well surely the other guy can't be worse?' only to find out that... oh, he is.

Onwards and upwards, hopefully he'll know better going forward.

Our only flaw in this game was the GK and style of play. Last season PSG preyed on people trying to pass from the back.

Their kickoff being some NFL rugby thing is designed for them to start pressing from the 1st minute. It is criminal to play to their strengths given that Rosenior has played against them 3 times even before managing Chelsea

It is also the system though. Sanchez improved under Maresca because he was allowed to stop taking so many risks passing the ball around at the back and would kick it into touch if needed. We need to scrap this rubbish system of playing around at the back

He approached this game naively like he was still at Strasbourg

The problem went away as soon as we started going long when Maresca realised how sh*t Sanchez was on the ball. LR is again playing them as ball players playing from the back. So yes, the problem is LR not adapting his tactics to his players’ abilities.

Brighton fans, hell, even every neutral that's watched Brighton would tell you Sanchez is poor with his feet.

Yet the sporting directors get hard for anything related to Brighton and looked past that.

Early days for Rosenior, and I guess we have to give him some leeway at this point. TBF I have noted a few key differences from Maresca Pepilini.

  1. He doesn't wear the same club White puffa jacket every week. Indicates, a modicum of fashion sense and an awareness of the importance of individuality.

  2. He wears glasses. Indicates, he wants to see things more clearly.

  3. During the game, he writes stuff down in a book. Indicates he is organised and owns a pen.

  4. He likes to talk. Indicates he has a lot in common with my wife.

Its time to go Liam. Youve just said in your post match interview that you are accountable. Cmon clear your desk, off you go.

  1. Can't speak Italian. Putting him up there with Henry Kelly
