Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Wednesday 4th March 19:30 GMT

We were brilliant it what was a six pointer. Job done and hopefully we also win against Newcastle in a round in which one of United or Villa drop points. Maybe both if the match ends in a draw. Would be even better.

In other words, the league is over. City are way too soft with that midfield and those bang average defenders. Will probably knock Real Madrid out, but Bayern will rip them a new one for sure.

I know that Villa were both poor and naive, playing into our hands but without doubt the most entertaining performance from us tonight. Thoroughly enjoyed it actually.

The plaudits will naturally go to the front players who were great but I was also really impressed with Hato tonight. Deserves a run tbh, even though Cucu is back.

Only question I do have, is Sarr injured atm?

A good midweek for us with regards to the results of rival teams for top 5. I watched the end of the Newcastle game. Ramsdale looked good for them. Surprised we didn't go for him as a goalkeeper option last summer.

Ramsdale is awful generally. He never positions himself well, which is why when he does make great saves, it's usually because he isn't in the right position. He's also not a goalkeeper to rely on from set pieces.

I think we might go for Trafford.

Well that was pretty convincing in the end. Forward players all clicked. Enzo and Garnacho with some key contributions. Palmer and Pedro with the goals. While Chalobah and Hato were solid at the back.

No idea if we’ve just turned a corner or Villa are just falling apart and we caught them at the right time. Still, a good night and they’ve been in short supply of late.

Hopefully we are turning a corner, Villa are certainly falling apart though.

Mainly this, though we capitalised on it which is the bonus.

Yet many times in the past weve been just the team for anyone falling apart to play, we gift them results. This time we played them at the right time but battered them.
