If this battering was a teachable moment then it would almost be worth it.

However it’s more likely the board will just double down on their belief and keep buying potential only.

Fully agree, it would be completely worth it if it makes the muppets change their approach.

You just know it won't happen.

We bought the wrong Delap.

We should have signed Rory, at least our throw ins would have been interesting.

Why is Caicedo still on. He definitely needs to be wrapped up until Saturday

Because it does not matter mate.

Players have given up on the rest of this season, and perhaps on their times with us.

There's a lot wrong at this club from top to bottom but I'm convinced that if when Maresca went they brought in a proper elite manager we would still be challenging.

It 's bad enough buying too many young players some admittedly with huge potential but with not many experienced players in the squad to help bring them on the only real hope is a quality manager.

I think a lot of their mistakes, a lot of their can't be bothered to run errors and a lot of the all round performances are coaching issues and a top coach would be coaching that out of them.

I don't see CL for a while with this approach and although I've supported Chelsea for 60 years I've become as spoiled as the newer fans with the expectancy.

We all need to bring that down about three levels...

We look like a mid table team and we play like a team fighting relegation.

I agree Chippy I’ve been supporting this lot since the mid 60’s. Together we’ve seen some good sides, great sides and poor sides but each of them had heart, fire, desire and leadership …this lot sadly has neither one.

While I understand what Boehly was trying to do it has been a complete cluster fcuk by getting rid of an experienced manager at the outset, and then not having anyone around the club that could guide him and educate him about this league and football in general. You just can’t have 11 inexperienced players in this league; you either have all veterans or a sprinkling of youth with EPL experienced players. You build an experienced spine and work from there, but they threw the guide book out the window together with the experience both in the front office and on the pitch and here’s the result. The defence has been a disaster since Clearlake took over and then not having club have done nothing to address it and you wonder when heads drop we get trounced.

My heart goes out to the fans that turn out home and away to watch these inept performances…if I was Todd, I’d rip up the plan and start again next season and get rid of these bang average players including 90% of the so called ‘defenders’…

Just remembering the FACup game against Millwall and Johnny Spencer's missed penalty resulting in half the seat backs ending up on the pitch and a Fulham road warzone that trump would have been proud of. Won't even be a queue in getting out of the stands now.

Or perhaps the manager has lost some of the dressing room? With several high-profile players and a relatively unproven coach, that risk was pointed out from the moment of his appointment.
