The last time we had three CFs was the 2015 season, and even in a season with Europe, it was difficult to give them all game time.

If JP plays every available PL game, Welbeck comes on toward the end of contests as a calm head and Satpayev gets the League Cup/FA Cup run it would seem a good use of minutes in my eyes.

I’m taking the approach with Emegha that if we all act like he doesn’t exist then maybe he’ll just quietly disappear.

Guiu is a lost cause, seems a pleasant enough lad but I don’t think we’ll even make a profit on him… and he was signed on a free! Just destroyed a young lads career for the lure of making a profit.

For £5m, it’s not too bad a fee. I thought Brighton would fleece us again.

Haha, I had that very same thought. Can't end the run of scoring against Chelsea, although, I can breathe a little easier when we play Brighton now.

Welcome Danny! Great to have him at the club - the mentorship on and off the pitch will be of significant value, and as a player looking forward to the impact he will make.

I know I’d trust Welbeck more than Jackson, Delap or Emegha to score in last 10 minutes. And I imagine that’s what his role will be.

If Joao Pedro gets injured then yes, Welbeck isn’t ideal but he’s far better than what we’ve got. Don’t get me wrong I actually like Jackson but we need goal scorers and I don’t think Jackson is a natural goalscorer. He’s excellent at building attacks but with Morgan Rogers in the picture, I don’t really see the need for him anymore.

I’ll predict Welbeck will score around 10 goals for us. Which is already a huge upgrade over our second choice striker last season, Delap.

Both jackson (villarea l& Chelsea) & delap (ipswitch) have better goal per game ratio but it's tricky to argue if they're better than welbeck. This signing would make a lot more sense if Chelsea can offload jackson & delap for profit so welbeck can fill that temporary role.

Think he's going to get a lot of minutes. however, knowing our luck he'll simply do a calf or hammy and be out for five months of the season.

Welbeck is better than Jackson in every way. Holding the ball up, heading, movement in and around the box, finishing, work rate, and crucially....attitude.

They only thing Jacko has over him is a bit of pace.
