The Interview -7.5/10

James Franco is brilliant!

Yeah I thought he was great in that, what I like about that film is although the humour only lasts about an hour the endings so full of action it's still really enjoyable.

Watched kingsman last night and thoroughly enjoyed it, hopefully we get a few more of them.

Jurassic World, 8/10 Great film, worth a watch. The original was always going to be better though.

The original had a more credible storyline, this one had some good parts and some silly parts.Watchable 6.5

Effects were stunning and was a really enjoyable movie....can never beat the original though.

It was. It was a tough watch but I'm glad you saw it; it was emotional at the end.

Love the Halloween films (not 3 for obvious reasons!).

Saw The Woman in Gold yesterday - really enjoyed it, something a bit different and Helen Mirren as good as usual.

Loved it. Very very entertaining.

It Follows - I was very pleasantly surprised by this. It's an independent horror movie about a girl who's cursed to be constantly followed by a kind of zombie-person that only she can see. This thing only moves at a slow walk but if it ever catches up to her it will kill her. The only way to free herself of the curse is to pass it to somebody else by sleeping with them (and if that sounds like an excuse for lots of gratuitous sex and nudity then it couldn't be further from the case).

 

A classy (the soundtrack in particular), well-made horror film that doesn't rely on gratuitous violence and cheap shocks to disturb you.

Just watched a trailer and read the rave reviews, a must see, thanks for sharing.

Fox catcher.

It was okay but at over 2 hours the film was a little too plodding, could have done with shaving 20 minutes off the run time for me.

We've just watched Rush on tv, what a good film. It brought back so many memories, I miss watching F1 as I stopped when the sport became so computerised.

Watched a Rom Com with Chris Evans called Playing it Cool. What I found funny was it also had Anthony Mackie (who he'd starred with in Captain America: The Winter Solider) and Ioan Grufford (who he'd starred with in the Fantastic Four films) in so it was kinda like a little reunion. The film wasn't bad either not amazing but it got a fair few laughs wasn't the worst way to spend a Sunday Evening with the missus.

Really odd concept for a film but worked really well, Jake Gyllenhaal is superb in the lead as a guy who stumbles into a career of crime journalism and attempting to capture footage of crimes and their aftermath to sell to TV networks.

 

Pretty grim insight into the work those that pursue news footage.
