February 17, 201313 yr Easy penalty, Sturridge stuck it home well. Edited February 17, 201313 yr by Lofty 1905
February 23, 201313 yr Paul Elliott has resigned from all his FA roles and Kick it Out after making "discriminatory abusive comments" to Richard Rufus http://www.thefa.com/News/thefa/2013/feb/paul-elliott-statement-230213.aspx
February 28, 201313 yr Got a feeling Sturridge will kill it against Wigan, excellent business by 'pool nabbing him. Shame we couldn't make the most of him but oh well

March 9, 201313 yr http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/mar/08/paul-clement-englishman-psg Another ex coach/manager to add to the list of people that are doing depressingly well since leaving us - why can't we hold onto these people?!
May 26, 201313 yr Malouda is now officially an ex-Chelsea player. This is what he had to say: "I had a problem to sort out with certain people. It's done. Now, I'm free. "I'm going to be able to play again next season and I cannot wait. "I've been preparing all year long. I'll be back next season." What certain people would those be, I wonder? Management or players or both?
May 26, 201313 yr If h£ wa$ that d€$p£rat€ why not ju$t leav£? Was fantastic in the 2009/2010 season but other than that he's been a very average player for us. I suppose we'll never know why he stayed - did the club want to punish him? Did he not want to leave coz he liked the money? Was his family settled? Did no club make an offer? The skeptical side in me says the money... but then I may be bias towards my club.
May 26, 201313 yr ^ That picture would worry me a lot if I were a Tottenham fan. AVB trying to be one of the boys .. ? Hmm.
May 27, 201313 yr You certainly wouldn't catch Jose posing with the players like that, trying to look chummy. On his own, on the other hand...
May 27, 201313 yr I'm not just saying it because it's Tottenham but I don't think that ^^ sort of thing bodes well for them. Whilst I understand various Managers have different styles and methods as to how they treat their players I don't think being 'one of the guys' is a safe route to go down. We'll see in time I suppose but push your luck with your Manager like you do your team mates and it could backfire spectacularly, especially if a 'senior' member of the squad falls out with him.

May 28, 201313 yr Roman's yacht is bigger. #facht After that end of season they had, I would have banned social media for at least a month to prevent stuff like this from getting out. Instead AVB is right there, front and centre. Supporters just got their hearts stepped on by Arsenal again, but dont worry because all the boys will be tanline free in September!

The skeptical side in me says the money... but then I may be bias towards my club. I guess we will never know, but I think everyone involved looks universally dumb when a situation like his happens. Okay, he called the clubs bluff and they didnt move him on because he (or Lyon) refused to compromise. But once the window closed, we should have just thrown him in the rotation and used him. Its still too few and far between, for me, where we have taken an underused, veteran player and sold them along for something meaningful. The case of Alex and Anelka was also disturbing, and we only managed to sell one for peanuts to a very rich club. I guess its the price for all the instability that, it seems, overnight players are deemed worthless and their resale value is destroyed when they are sent to the reserves or ostracized. I will remember the good times with Flo, although they took a couple of seasons to get here. Edited May 28, 201313 yr by TheWestwayWonder
May 30, 201313 yr Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but congratulation on JFH for getting his first job in management. He has done his apprenticeship at Forest and has now been given an opportunity in Belgium's second division. All the best, Jimmy. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/may/29/jimmy-floyd-hasselbaink-royal-antwerp-manager

All the best, Jimmy. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/may/29/jimmy-floyd-hasselbaink-royal-antwerp-manager I saw this, massive respect to JFH for learning his trade first and not just expecting to jump in at the deep end straight away. Much like Steve Clarke was an assistant at 4 clubs before taking the plunge into management.

Much like Steve Clarke was an assistant at 4 clubs before taking the plunge into management. Yes, I have a lot of respect for him for doing that. Too many players jump straight into management. I also think he is astute going to Antwerp, as he will be able to get Man United players on loan and he will surely be the biggest name in the league, so can attract players. Belgium football is on the up and their league has many up-coming players as it has done for near on a decade.
May 30, 201313 yr Roman's yacht is bigger. #facht According to the Spuds official web site, this was taken on the stag weekend for England's first ever legally-sanctioned gay wedding.
May 30, 201313 yr Mutu wants to adopt that Chinese baby they found in a sewer..... He must be on the Charlie again.
June 2, 201313 yr Please can people stop quoting the post with the photo - it was bad enough seeing it once without seeing it repeated and repeated!
