June 9, 201313 yr Selling Juan would be insane, am I the only one worried that our rivals i.e Citeh seem to be getting their deal done extremely quickly as opposed to us? People were saying this sort of thing last year and we ended up with Hazard and Oscar. I'm not particularly worried.
June 9, 201313 yr I dont think Mata is going anywhere, he is our most important player, i have faith in JM, he'll choose the players which will allow us to win the league again, and with the european experience the squad now has i would be surprised if we dont get to at least the semifinal of the CL this year.
June 9, 201313 yr Ba to Arsenal? http://www.caughtoffside.com/2013/06/09/exclusive-arsenal-in-advanced-talks-to-sign-chelsea-striker-demba-ba-in-9m-deal/ 9mill seems a bit low, I would hope for 12mill at least.
June 9, 201313 yr I believe the Daily Mail are also reporting a story that Everton want Moses to be reunited with Martinez but will only pay the 9mill we bought him for lol.

June 10, 201313 yr id be fine with that Think we should be looking for a profit as we would be losing a HG player that did score some important goals, mainly in the Europa, for us. 15mill area.
June 10, 201313 yr I read somewhere recently that Ba may not be able to be sold until January. Something about only allowed to play for 2 teams in one year. Has anybody else heard anything similar? I would sell Moses if we made a little profit on him. Not sure if I would do it for the same money we paid.

June 10, 201313 yr Ba would be easier to ship out than Torres so if we need to clear off space for that X-striker and Lukaku I'd be okay with that. Moses going out I don't see happening and don't want to see happen tbh. He is very young and has lot of potential. Perfect squad player to have at the moment.
June 10, 201313 yr Ba to Arsenal? I guess selling Sturridge was similar, but it just smacks of something that will bite us in the ass. Cant we just sell him to Lyon or something? Think we should be looking for a profit as we would be losing a HG player that did score some important goals, mainly in the Europa, for us. 15mill area. I would agree with you, but we will never get that from Everton. Not unless they sell Fellaini and Baines and managed to get about 40 for the pair of them.
June 10, 201313 yr I'd keep Ba over Torres. I would also like to keep Moses. I think he offers our team something different from Mazacar. He can and has come on and changed games for us so i dont know why people are keen to see him go.
June 10, 201313 yr I've said on more than one occasion I would be happy to see Ba leave. He was just a stop gap replacement because Sturridge wanted to go Liverpool and his £7m release clause at Newcastle meant we didn't have to drag out negotiations. He didn't really impress once he signed and we won't really be missing out if we were to sell him, Arsenal are more than welcome to him especially if it means Lukaku stays with us and gets game time. Moses to Everton will depend on if the club want to sell. I thought he was a decent option from the bench seeing as he can play on both wings and tended to get to the byline rather than cut inside. Seeing as he is still only 22 he can still develop his game and I think Jose could smooth out the rough edges of his game. Don't see much point in selling if we aren't going to make a profit on him personally.

June 10, 201313 yr I think that is very harsh. What you said about him aiming for a team playing inthe Europa league can go the same for Torres then. Torres only looked half decent in that cup.

June 10, 201313 yr I would be strongly against selling Moses, not that I believe we would. The links just smack of lazy and unfounded journalism to me. He's young and still learning. I don't think people realise what a step up it is going from a Wigan to a Chelsea. He had a good first season imo, doubt he's on big wages and he's not going to kick up a stink at being a rotational player. Also homegrown which is a huge plus on his side. Let's not forget his season was disrupted by the ACON and he also became a father for the first time later in the season. Every squad needs a few Moses type players spread around various positions. A squad of 25 top quality players wouldn't work, in fact it'd likely be a disaster. Edited June 10, 201313 yr by startedwithglenn
June 10, 201313 yr Moses is a home-grown player we need to keep him and i expect us too.He will find it harder to get games this season but like people have said hes young, has good potential, good squad player and offers something different.Needs to improve his crossing and shooting though and needs to do more of what we bought him for and that's dribble past players.

A squad of 25 top quality players wouldn't work, in fact it'd likely be a disaster. Well said. We have plenty of players who can dance around with the ball and dice the opposition up with passes. Moses offers speed, kick-and-run directness, and some brute physicality, which is a fantastic cocktail to pull off the bench and throw at a tired defense. Comparing him to Walcott is a good thing, imo, because we dont have much of that in the squad at the moment. And like you say SWG, he took a massive step up last year and looked alright. At 22 who knows how good he can get?
June 10, 201313 yr I'd be delighted to sell Ba to anyone!! Not a Chelsea player IMO. Not good enough and doesn't seem right at the club. Moses, I'd sell him too. I never did get him signing for us. I think RDM was a big fan and Roman just allowed him to make one signing!! He's young but unlikely to be a regular for CFC, so bench warming will stall his development, selling him to Everton would be fine IMO.

He's young but unlikely to be a regular for CFC, so bench warming will stall his development, selling him to Everton would be fine IMO. I think Ba could work, given some time, he's only been here 5 months, has been used to a completely different more direct style and has on occasion shown flashes of quality. They may have been too few and far between, but there were glimpses. That all being said. I think that if we get Cavani and Lukaku comes back, that's three quite similar options up front. Obviously there are differences, Lukaku is faster and Cavani has better movement, but tactically it's a real dearth of different options. Whereas Torres from a purely tactical point of view, Torres is more worth keeping than Ba. Again though, there's another aspect to view it from. The baggage of Torres and how badly he works when he isn't the star option. It's a tough one, and I would say that neither option is particularly wrong. On Moses, he is well worth keeping in my view. Again he's something different to our other options and lets us change things about. He's very direct and he works hard, he's young and will improve. He's basically our current Kalou. We have the flashier options to play the attacking midfield Mata, Hazard, De Bruyne and Oscar (although I see him deeper eventually) and Moses can come in, he'll track back (although he isn't the best at defending and needs to improve it), he's young and won't complain about being 'the option' rather than the star. A squad fighting on all fronts needs these kind of players, although obviously shouldn't be made purely out of them.

June 11, 201313 yr People want to give Torres more time (the guy who has had 2 and a half years) but want Ba out after 5 months. You lot are f**king mental!
