LOL... if that turns out to be true then i will piss myself, Why on earth would Liverpoo hack our Scouting network?... As if any of our targets wanna play for their mid table arse.

Liverpool have signed some of your scouts recently.

Not all the players Chelsea are trying to sign this offseason can make an immediate impact. Andre Gomes of Benfica, for example, is someone who’s more likely to contribute further down the line, if he actually comes.

And it’s not that he’s going to come cheaply. According to A Bola, the 19 year old midfielder, currently playing with Portugal in the U-20 World Cup, recently signed a contract that keeps him at the Estadio da Luz until 2019, and within it is a  €30 million release clause, which Benfica are at the moment holding out for.

It’s quite unlikely that Jose Mourinho is going to convince Roman Abramovich to spend so much money on a 19-year old player with only 7 appearances for the first team so far in his very young career, but it’s more than likely that if Chelsea are serious about signing Gomes, Benfica will be willing to lower their demands quite a bit.

Gomes joined Benfica’s youth system only in 2011, and spent his first season with the club playing for the Benfica B team. Last season he was promoted a class to the senior side, making a total of 18 appearances, scoring two goals. He actually scored on his league debut, and also made a Champions League appearance against Barcelona.

Strengthening the central midfield might be the number one thing Jose Mourinho is after on his return season to Chelsea, hoping to regain the toughness and physicality that was part of his team’s success from 2004-2007. Gomes stands at 1.88 meters tall, and some have compared him to Javi Martinez of Bayern Munich, possibly the best defensive midfielder in the world today.

Gomes is the captain of the U-20 Portugal side, and as another proving point of how much he’s being considered an important prospect of the country’s footballing future stands his invitation to a friendly match of the senior team against Ecuador four months ago, although he eventually didn’t play a single minute in that encounter.

Not sure where to put this but found this page where you can put in a request to sign a player along with an amount of money you'd be willing to contribute. If a player generates 10000 requests they contact the players agent and both clubs to let them know. Not quite sure what to make of it yet.

For what its worth Cavani to Chelsea seems to be the highest supported Chelsea 'pledge' with a whopping 15 supports.

What the... I don't even... Why would someone even bother to put time into this 'idea'?

Can you really see the likes of Jose Mourihno sitting down with the board and saying "Right guys, buymyplayer.com has been in touch, and apparently 99% of fans would like to see Messi at Chelsea. Lets make it happen".

I think the idea is more towards fans being able to contribute financially(however minimal) towards a transfer which the club would also obviously have to be interested in. But it is hugely unrealistic as you say.

Its a nice thought but player transfers are already way to complicated for any team to ever want to accept that this website made any form of contribution to any major signing. The risks the clubs would face from some sort of backlash by associating itself with this website would greatly outweigh the small financial contribution fans would be making.

having let go Turnbull + Hilario & Courtois away back to Ath madrid....any rumour of us signing a back-up keeper or is it taken we are going with the youngsters?

I haven't heard anything about our keepers apart from Courtois' loan of course. I have no idea what it's based on but the ever reliable Wikipedia says Matej Delač will be part of the first team squad next season. Maybe he's in the squad list by default, because he hasn't been loaned or sold and he still has a contract with Chelsea.

I think the WC being next summer will affect some keeper's decisions about being a backup or starter at a lower club. I wouldn't be surprised to see us sign someone later in the summer, while giving Blakman, Delac, Walker, etc. a run out during preseason.

Torres to Arsenal, Mata and Luiz not considered main 11 players? Seems like the usual swill from the Mirror.

They are just butchering Duncan Castle's article. He said Luiz and Mata would only considered to be sold by Mourinho if Chelsea really needed the money to reinvest, a last resort. Of course, it has been made out to be something totally different by the media, not really unexpected.

Still though it seems insane to consider selling Mata or Luiz to raise funds for who exactly? Especially in the case of Mata we would be selling a truly special player to get what in return?

I have no idea. Quite a few Chelsea fans were saying that if the club had put money aside for Falcao then that could be used to get Cavani. Then again we are just fans and can only speculate. Castles seems to have it in with Mourinho's camp but then again, he can be wrong.

Someone. Actually. Got. Paid. To. Write. THIS.

yeah, sign Messi, Ronaldo, Lewandowski, Cavani and anyone who'll cost 50M+. That's the only way United will dominate the league now.
