Was actually a tweet I read from a Chelsea Transfer page that grabs the headlines from most papers. The article itself is more speculation in regards to Costa and not very interesting apart from the bit about his release clause.

Obviously he's no Saurez but as someone rightly pointed out I just don't think were in the market with that sort of money. Would take him in a heartbeat though regardless of reputation. 

 

Costa is the second highest goal scorer in La Liga and only 25, he would be a real prospect. I just hope we don't lose Courtois as part of any deal. 

Based on current form, Suarez is arguably the best striker in the world. We'd be mad not to sign him if given the chance.Would you personally be against it? Just curious.

 

Diego Costa isn't on the same level as Suarez, IMO.

If we signed him now, no I would not be. If we wait a couple of years and he hits a decline ala Torres then yes I would be. The 50mill albatross has long since weighed on our necks.

I wouldnt be too shocked if Mata did want to leave but 40 million. I think they need to do better than that! Those French rich boys need to stump up closer to 50 to make the deal seem reasonable.

PSG do seem to be tracking Juan, they are linked with him the most.

 

Have to question whether, in order to get his main targets, Jose has to raise funds to keep the FFP books in order. He also likes a squad to be a certain size.

 

Given Jose has shown a preference for Hazard, Oscar and sometimes Willian/Schurrle ahead of Juan, as well as JT and Cahill before David Luiz, it would make sense that two highly valued assets like them would be linked away while others are linked to us.

I think that we have other players that can be sold off if we need to raise cash.

Yeah wtf does Chelsea have no scouts? Seems like we pay 25 million for every player because some other team scouted them earlier.

Porto and Benfica can get young players straight from South America without work permits we cant.

Not just that, They can sign players like Mangala, Defour, Witsel etc and actually play them. That is why they become good.
