July 9, 201511 yr Here's a video showing each one of his goals for us. I would watch it as soon as possible, youtube has a history of taking these videos down rather quickly!
July 10, 201511 yr I was only planning to watch a bit of that video but I was in awe of Frank's natural ability to find the goals that it was worthwhile taking nearly 33 minutes of my time to watch all of that. Great memories for the supporters and for himself I'm sure!
July 10, 201511 yr I love that man. Phenomenal player. A tap in, a thirty yarder or a header, whatever, he had it all. The first 18 months where a bit hit and miss. Ranieri even had him on the wing at one point. There will not be another in my lifetime, I don't think. I wish him well. Hope he comes back someday.
July 10, 201511 yr I remember reading an interview with Lampard not long before Euro 2004 and he said that he had been staying behind after training every day to practise his headers as it was a weak part of his game. Lo and behold, in the first game against France Frankie pops up with a header to put England ahead. Just proved that practice pays off, and Lampard was World Class at practicing/training, which showed on the pitch
July 11, 201511 yr Lampard and Pirlo midfield....imagine that at Chelsea when both were in their prime! The thing that shocked me is that Pirlo is about 3 years younger than Lampard.
July 12, 201511 yr Here's a video showing each one of his goals for us. I would watch it as soon as possible, youtube has a history of taking these videos down rather quickly! "F**king tap-in's and penalties, not to mention the deflections. Pfft, can't believe we gave West Ham all that money for him. Not a legend." Says a complete idiot
July 12, 201511 yr Lampard and Pirlo midfield....imagine that at Chelsea when both were in their prime! The thing that shocked me is that Pirlo is about 3 years younger than Lampard. He's actually 1 year younger, even that is still shocking though
July 12, 201511 yr He's actually 1 year younger, even that is still shocking though ah, that doesn't make me feel as bad...but yeah still a surprise
July 22, 201510 yr Awesome video doing the rounds of Frank attending a Chelsea supporters club event in New York yesterday and the fans started chanting to him "We want our Frankie back". He grabs the mic and tells them "I'll be back, I'll be back".
July 22, 201510 yr I know it's just talk, but hear me out. I'll provide a little background here. Few years ago when the rumour was going around the JT was going to go to City for a crazy amount of money, Chelsea did a pre-season tour. At the hotel the club was staying in in Seattle, the players were greeting folk, signing things, taking pictures, etc. Of course there is fan interaction, so one of the lads in the crowd said "JT, please don't go to City," to which JT said "don't worry mate, I'm going nowhere." I know that may be an easy thing for him to say, or it could be seen as appeasing the pre-season masses. However, it did turn out to be true. Now, again in the US, we have Frank Lampard joining up with his former club and admitting "I'll be back" (easy Arnold). However, there is talk that during these events (and the evening ones in particular when the guests can get a little loose) Frank has told the Chelsea fans that he really regretted the whole City debacle, how it wasn't exactly to plan, and about how terrible he felt about scoring against us. I know, again this is an easy cop-out. He's hardly going to say "get it up you!" But, when you do get to interact with them at these events they are far more honest and approachable; so, I thought it was very nice to hear (not directly) what Frank had to say.
September 28, 201510 yr Almost forgot about this. As with Didier's recent brace in the MLS, Frank just scored a good goal too. Sigh... Wished we could score more of this.
September 28, 201510 yr That is a typical Frank Lampard goal, he is the best player i have ever seen at arriving late into the box to score a goal.
September 28, 201510 yr Don't care what anyone says this guy is and always will be a legend. Going to City for a season in no way tarnished his image here.
September 29, 201510 yr Player - irreplaceable Person - genius Professionalism - perfect Stats - legendary Lampard is the once in a generation type that the club will never be able to replace. You can try to find players with the same attributes, you can try to find people with the same characteristics, you can never match Lampard's consistency and overall contribution. Hopefully he's interested in coaching and joins Mourinho similar to Giggs and Van Gaal because I think he has everything to be a brilliant manager.
September 29, 201510 yr I found myself watching the champions league highlights again last night. And you could just see how much it meant to him in the interview on the pitch after the game. The part where he says "Daddy told you Chelsea were the best team in the world and tonight we are" was amazing. Shame on anyone who suggests his Chelsea reputation has been affected. September 29, 201510 yr I remembered him going down on his knees the moment Didier scored that penalty in Munich. Had tears in my eyes when I realised how much that CL win meant to him and his undying love for the club. What a legend. Gone but never forgotten, SUPER FRANKIE LAMPARD!
September 29, 201510 yr This current team is missing Frank. Frank was a leader and someone you could count on.
September 29, 201510 yr His absence is very noticeable now with a lack of leaders at the club during a tough period for us.I think we're all guilty of taking him for granted to some extent during his playing days but he's one of the all-time greats of the club and his reputation and image hasn't been tarnished despite a small loan move to Manchester City. I would love to see him pursue a career in coaching after he retires as I think he has all the tools and ingredients to be a great manager especially if he learnt from someone like Jose for example. September 29, 201510 yr I cant think of anything better than him coming back to coach under Jose and then maybe one day taking over as manager and winning us every title/cup going.
September 29, 201510 yr Looking at the highlights of a game recently vs Bayern Munich, saw Lampard pick up the ball and effortlessly place a it over the top to send a player through, reminded just how central he was to all of the attacking play. Goals, making chances, controlling the play and taking charge in midfield, showing up again and again when the team needed someone.
October 3, 201510 yr Miss him so much. We'll never see another player like him and it was a privilege to have him play for my club. Edited October 3, 201510 yr by Zeta Orionis
