Well to be fair, I suppose he did.

So that's actually a staggering 3 deadlocks broken by the mighty El Nino, I think you owe the man an apology Davey Baby.

I'd change that avatar if I was you! Just and his crew will be straight on the case!

Let's look at the facts, as Rafa might say.

1. Almost every game, every week, everywhere in the world, someone breaks the deadlock.

2. That someone is usually a striker, reason being strikers are there to score goals.

3. That's their job.

4. Torres in two years at Chelsea has broken the deadlock twice.

5. That's £25m per deadlock broken.

6. Expensive by anybody's standards.

7. When he does break the deadlock, against Arsenal and against Villa, the fangirls are on here unable to contain their excitement.

8. They forget that it is no big deal.

9. They forget that's what strikers do, every week, every game, everywhere in the world.

10. The fangirls are wasteoftime and Redhatter.

11. Yesterday Lampard did what he usually does.

12. He equalised and then he scored the winner.

13. Yikes.

14. The fangirls will tell you Torres' header against Villa was exquisite, proving once and for all he is back to his best.

15. That's right folks, the second deadlock he has broken in two years.

16. It wasn't exquisite.

17. Villa's keeper is sh*t.

18. He was badly positioned.

19. Lampard's header was exquisite.

20. No keeper in the world was saving that.

21. And here's the reason ..

22. The ball flew into the corner of the net, just inside the goalpost, ala Drogba.

23. Now that's what I call a header.

24. Thank you very much.

26. Torres is on 175k a week and isn't going anywhere in a hurry.

27. Lampard is unwanted by the club.

28. Roman and the board obviously don't like seeing those deadlocks broken.

29. I'm desperately trying to reach number thirty.

30. Phew. I just made it.

Nice one Davey! Except the part about the header, you cannot possibly be telling me you don't think that was a good header? He's still sh*t, but it was a good header.

Think davey needs to leave the house for once and take up a job as goalkeeping coach somewhere! I'd like him to enlighten all keepers around the world on where they should stand when a cross comes in other than in the middle of the goal.

i've had it with torres i can't be patient anymore he had his chance when drogba left he could of up his game he doesn't need to play like 50mill player but simple controls and tap ins is all we ask with a incredible attacking force like we got any striker would flourish i would take ba any day especially at 7mill hell i will even take suarez and he's a dick

Torres had never scored a winner in an important game!!

Well apart from the Semi-Final of the Champions League, but how important is that really!

Why let facts get in the way of a good post?

I am completely pro Torres, but he scored the equiliser in the champions league semi-final, Ramires got the goal which actually put us through to the final,

Let me take you back to 2009........

I still have my doubts that we would of hung on without that 2nd goal. They still had 5 minutes to score and I wouldn't of put it past em!

Torres's goal at the Nou Camp was certainly something special, but it wasn't the goal that put us through to the final. It was simply the goal that killed off Barcelona's chances of coming back. We were through anyway.

And Torres's header against Villa was brilliant, but I've seen him score better goals. I actually thought the one against Arsenal was better.

I know Barcelona are brilliant, especially at home, but let's face it, they wouldn't have scored. The fleet we had parked was just too firm, they didn't look like scoring.

You are aware that Torres didn't score the winner in the semi-finals, right? His goal was the icing on the cake, but we'd have gone through without it due to goal differential. Ramires is the one who scored the winning goal.

Genius.  ::clap2::  :laugh2:

The fact they didn't look like scoring was exactly what was worrying me. They would of had one great chance at least!

I'll give you every inch you want on the latter debate, you can quote Gerrard's heroics, hollywood balls and inspirational performances all you like...Lampard's record is superior, in fact for a midfielder it's nigh on ridiculous the amount of goals he's scored over the past 10 years, nevermind the number of assists. Sure, my view if possibly warped by the fact that I think Gerrard is a complete c**t who hounded out the manager you've now got in favour of Hodgson and now this fat headed nobhead. "English is best and don't you forget it, eh?" He cost himself any chance of a league title by a) Not going to Chelsea when he should have and b) Conspiring with the other "true Scouser" Carragher to oust Rafa from the club. I'm made up he'll end his career without a league title, and I hope it wrankles with him every day of his life, which it will because the lad is a certifiable fruit loop.

On the Torres/Drogba debate I would say that both of them at their best are unplayable. Having watched more of Torres than Drogba I'm inclined ot say that Nando just shades in on top form, but in reality Drogba delivered year after year so on that basis is the better striker.

As Rafa says, it's all about the Facchhts...which you just can't argue with!!

my favourite Liverpool fan ever facht!

my favourite Liverpool fan ever facht!

Is Rafael Benitez joking? Or is he really a Liverpool fan?

I find that really difficult to believe, all he ever does is insult them.

my favourite Liverpool fan ever facht!

Thank you, Sir.  Always nice to be appreciated.

Yes, I am a Liverpool fan...just not one of those blinded, "everything is rosy, we're going to make the Champions League, we're better than you and Rodgers in the king" type nobheads that fill Anfield these days.

As for the insults, it's more facchhts than anything else.  What is possibly good to say about Liverpool right now?!  "The manager has improved us?" Nope, he's made us worse.  "The young players are promising?!" - Nope, Sterling, Shelvey, Henderson, Allen etc etc are all totally overrated and completely sh*te.  "We have great owners who will take us back to the stratosphere?!"  Nope, we have some clueless American mong who hasn't got a pot to piss it and watches his wife get f**ked in the Hope Street Hotel (you can quote me on that one).  So, all in all there isn't much good to say, so please forgive the negativity, who knows maybe things will change.

With a bit of luck I'll be sat here in June, we'll have Rafa back after he's done the quadruple with you lot, you can have Mourinho, Di Matteo or whoever takes your fancy, Brendan Rodgers can go back to coaching your Under 9's (but watch out, the c**t will probably try touch them) and we'll bid each other a fond farewell and go back to throwing every insult under the sun at each other at the next encounter.

Sterlong seems ok, but shelvy and henderson are embarrassing

Sterling is similar to Michael Owen when he was 18.

Light on his feet and pacey, minus the ability to take on a man or put the ball in the back of the net.  The penny dropped when I was watching the QPR game yesterday, the kid is the new Shaun Wright-Phillips.  Total sh*te.

Always thought of him as a cross between SWP and Arron Lennon.

Dunno what all the hype is about tbh.
