Nice goal, but utterly useless in everything else he did. No-one played well.

Fair play to him, took his only chance well, great finish. Shame him and everyone else was woeful for the rest of the game.

I disagree, Zeta. Torres actually held on to a few long kicks from Turnbull (those few ones where Turnbull did not kick it into touch or only 30 yards forward), and made some nice one-two passes in the 1st and 2nd halves.

Great goal. Credit where due and that was a good finish. Knowing Torres he will now go on a 10 match goalless drought.

15 goals this season, more then Tevez, Rooney, Giroud etc - poor performance though, like the other 10 on the pitch.

 

Demba Ba and him together could work out now when Hazard is banned.

While he wasn't very good today, he did something that he hasn't shown often in the past, he stepped up and made a difference when it mattered.

Yep, just over a month. Last goal was against Aston Villa.

Torres back in the day was a perfect player to have up top on his own. Unfortunately injuries etc mean he is no longer able to play this role to any consistent effect. He would never of scored that goal without ba on the pitch to hussle and bussle the defence.

 

While hazard is injured we must play them together as I think torres can still be effective in a front 2.
