Not going anywhere according to Mourinho. Just on SSN now.

Think we all knew that deep down as annoying as it is.

Indeed. Time to prove yourself Nando! Even though you'll most likely go into sulk mode again, now that DIDIER DROGBA is back.

Got shivers down my spine writing that.

It's so frustrating watching him. We are watching someone who has the ability, but for one reason or another he just isn't utilising those talents. He doesn't even look like a striker any more. There is no way that a former world class striker forgets how to get into dangerous positions, use smart movement, score goals etc. I really do not understand him at all.

He lost something after that injury with Spain, even at Liverpool after that he didn't look the same (although STILL managed to score against us).

Some players peak in their early to mid 20's then regress rapidly, looks like Torres is one of those.

He wears the shirt and has Jose's backing so he has my support.

Good luck for the season Nando

If he stays then I hope he has a fantastic season and scores sh*t loads, and when he's on the pitch I'll back him.

I think we have to treat the Torres transfer as a sunk cost. It looks unlikely that we'll be able to recover any sizeable proportion. As supporters with the clubs best interests at heart, we shouldn't let this retrospective cost affect our decision making going forward. Our best option, I think, is to continue to support Torres until his contract terminates, and hope his performances improve. The alternative is to complain until the day his contract ends, and probably make it more difficult for Torres to improve his performances.

It's a pain to treat such an expensive transfer as a sunk cost, but it's our best choice as rational decision makers who prioritise Chelsea's interests.

Absolutely, booing him or whatever in the ground certainly wont help.

But he has to help himself and grow a set of balls.

Maybe Costa will help him in that department.

According to Jose on Sky sports, Torres is not going anywhere. We have three strikers now Torres, Costa & Drogba & I am happy with that, Jose says. There we are, striker situation solved.

Hmm, it's not resolved, though is it?

I thought you said you didn't trust or believe José?

I'll try and be positive and predict he'll score at least 10 for us this season in all competitions. Some will be lucky, most will be against lower opposition, but every goal helps. Certainly not what you expect from a 50m dollar man, but as long as he's here he has my support.

Signing Torres is a terrible mistake that keeps making us suffer three and a half years later.

Of course, we can't move him. He is an average player, low on confidence, on superstar wages and I bet he isn't willing to take a pay cut to get a move. Considering that his form had started turning to sh*t in his last few months with LFC, transfer to Chelsea was the best thing that could possibly have happened to him. Had we waited till summer, his poor form would have continued and Roman might have gone for somebody else.

The guy just steals a living and has no qualms about it.
