That's the spirit mate.

These days though there always have to be scapegoats and with us it's always Torres and Mikel.

Until they leave I will never personally insult them...although I will state me let downs at their performances if merited.

Has he gone yet

Roman is planning a 3 year extension.....

Maybe because our midfield over the years has been is so talented that they don't release the ball early enough and would rather hang on to it giving teams time to set up, hence we are generally running into a brick wall when we reach the box..mind you Torres running the wrong way doesn't help.  Fabregas will release the ball earlier which will help both Costa and even poor old Nando if and when he starts.

Before we got the likes of Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Willian, and Schurrle, Chelsea fans were saying that Torres didn't get enough service from players of Malouda, Anelka, and Kalou's quality. Even Lampard was made a scape goat. I do agree that sometimes our players run too much with the ball and we end up going nowhere, but perhaps these players had little faith in the strikers? Why should they create abundant chances for an unreliable striker to miss goal scoring opportunities when they think they have a chance of doing something better? Maybe that's their thinking.

But we could also look at other teams with talented midfields. For example, Madrid have a talented midfield and Benzema gets 25+ goals, same for Bayern, and City.

I think maybe a nice video of his hero screwing up over and over and over might. Anyone got the Gerrard slipping montage?

Another anonymous performance from Nando today. One play stood out for me. He received a great long ball on the wing and with only minimal pressure, promptly miscontrolled it out of play. It used to be you could argue that his hold-up and link-up play were decent, but lately it seems he's lost even those skills. It's simply incredible how far he's fallen. He's won just about every trophy and was once considered one of the best strikers in the world. It's just inexplicable how poor he's become. His touch is gone. Has he had his eyes checked lately?

How many of you would rather have Patrick Bamford or Dom Solanke in your side than FT? I've defended him in the past based on his work rate, experience and link up play, but I've given up. I wish we'd kept Bamford or Demba. Let's play Schurrle or Ivan up front. Torres is not good enough for us.

I wish he didn't look so f**king depressed all the time...

Bloody hell Fernando it's gone on for to long, everyone has gotten over your floppy signing and the papers no longer care about what you do, you've already embarrassed yourself enough as it is. Can he not just at least try and get on with it and put some effort in? He would actually at least do something for a change.

He's always looked like that....

If your expecting him to play with a smile ect then your daft. He's always been the same

I just don't see the logical explanation for it, no one even cares about what he does anymore, he's not even a laughing stock because no one cares. I really don't see how he can't move on from this and just start trying.

I also don't mean play with a smile on your face, I was mostly having a knock at how he barely tries at anything and how he just sighs everything someone blocks his shot or takes the ball off him.

He's not been any better or worse than the majority so far in pre season,

Only Cesc and Costa have impressed me

The entire squad has been average pre season with the exception of costa and fabregas. Utterly baffled with the insistence on playing torres, especially with the season one week away and jose choosing to play him on the f**king wing?!

Beginning to wonder if he has a clause in his contract which guarantees him appearances.

The guy is a joke. He is cancer on this club. He doesn't even try anymore. He just sooks. It's embarrassing. He needs to go.

I'd prefer if you just go.

Horrible word to use about any player never mind one of our own.

GTF

Call me crazy but I reckon his use of the word cancer is being taken the wrong way. He is just likening Torres to a drain on resouces.

Doesn't matter, it's a horrible way to talk about someone who still wears our colors.

I'm just glad the fans on here don't represent the boys I meet at the games, I really am.
