If this somehow goes through what does that mean for our striking options and what do we think Mourinho will do?

Far as I see it he's got one of a few options.

 

1. Go all-in for Edinson Cavani.
2. Go all-in for Radamel Falcao.
3. Go all-in for Loic Remy.
4. Go all-in for Mattia Destro.
5. Call up Patrick Bamford from the youth squad.

At this stage of the transfer window I think, if this goes through, he'll end up going for Remy, Destro, or just promote Bamford. That's not to say that Cavani is out of reach but I think Falcao is now.

 

Either way, it'll be a huge weight off the club's shoulders once the Torres saga is over.

Arguably all the more reason to ensure he does go so we can secure a better replacement as they'll be relied upon immediately.

That's a thought I suppose. If Jose genuinely thought Torres could deliver as the main man, he would at least be second choice, and he isn't.
