Hmm, well really this would have to be wrapped up today, otherwise it probably won;t happen as it won't give us time to get a decent replacement.

 

If he goes we won't have a single striker from last season, Etoo, Ba, Torres, Lukaku (although he was on loan anyway).

No, it was not shortsighted of Chelsea to get rid of Eto'o, BA. Perhaps, Lukaku could have been handled with a bit more serious though. I am most certain, another striker is lined up if Torres is shipped out.

Maybe this is why Bamford has not gone out on loan yet? If Milan are only willing to loan Torres and not pay a good chunk of his wages then it will not save us that much money really. So in terms of the FFP we simply may not be able to afford to add Remy or Destro.

No we have to sign a replacement if we get rid of Torres, It's nice to give youth a chance but you might regret that if Costa is injured and we only have Drogba and an inexperienced youngster with a lot of pressure on him to play as the main forward. Especially against the top sides.

 

Not just that though we don't just need another striker for the sake of it we need one to actually influence our game, Destro would be excellent to have as he gets his head down and works hard, or even Remy he adds something different because he is full of flair and pace which is something different for our forward set up.

There seems to be a fair chance he will go to Milan, according to SSN a fee has been agreed between the two clubs.
 

Just one thing concerns me though, when he goes this thread is going to be full of vitriolic 'thank f**k he's gone' kind of stuff, which is going to appear very distasteful, and very RAWK'ish IMO.
If the fella does leave i hope a little decorum is shown (although i'm not holding my breath) after all he did put in a good shift for us most of the time and came up with a couple of very important goals.

It just didn't work out for him here.

Personally, I hold not much positive to say about Torres. I am nearly certain, there are many in here who would jump in joy if he finally leaves. Hence, nothing to thank Torres for. It truly is that simple.
