... how will it affect your view of the club, if at all?

I have to admit that the possibility of it happening has been playing on my mind and that I'm sad to say that my opinion of the club would go down somewhat if it occurs. To put it mildly and politely, I wouldn't be happy!

Or do you think that it just won't happen?

It won't happen, but if it did i would be very VERY disappointed in the club. We need to stay strong over this one and not buckle under the pressure from the media and idiots of the country.

But unfortuntately they may have to appease their sponsors. I could see this happening to be honest, though I hope not.

Considering he was cleared in a court of law, i can't see them de-armbanding JT but stranger things have happen'd for instance the F.A playing god and thinking they are more powerful than said court!!!

But if there's a lot of pressure being put on Chelsea to strip JT of the captaincy and the club actually does it I would be disappointed.

If he were found guilty in court, then yes he would have been in a very difficult position....but he didnt. He has been found guilty of abusive behaviour, not of being a racist. So i cannot see Chelsea taking any action.

Hopefully, if the sponsors are considering demanding that Terry is stripped of the captaincy, they will bear in mind the likely backlash from extremely pissed off Chelsea supporters. I just think he is still too well respected and popular with the fans and within the club that they would give in to outside pressure so easily.

Sponsors are very unlikely to get involved in 'in house' stuff.

They know that things move on, and don't forget Chelsea are amongst the elite of European football, which makes us very sponsor friendly.

If a sponsor as respectable and image concious as Burberry can retain a cocaine sniffing slut, then i don't really think our sponsors morals will override their wallets.

A few weeks and it will be largely forgotten... Most people I know are realistic enough to acknowledge that we have all said stupid things in the heat of the moment and that ladies and gents is the crux of the issue.

What bugs me most is Anton was clearly saying stuff to him yet he responds in anger with a racially abusive word and is done for it. Many times people shout at the TV calling so and so a stupid f'ing (insert nationality here) cnut yet doesn't make them a racist. Its typical playing the race card BS Anton needs to grow a pair and get on with it.

Cech might be the first in line as it seems that he's most likely to start more matches than any other player AND he's already worn the armband. As the vice captain, Lampard would otherwise seem like the obvious choice, but I don't see him being as regular a starter as he used to be.
