Funny thing is, if Jack Wilshere came to Chelsea we'd be happy enough to support him so I'm sure I can do it for the national team as I can even stretch to wanting Rooney to do well when hes got an England Shirt on.

Well, for various reasons (maybe it is the way Terry, Lampard and Cole have been treated) most of us couldn't care less about the national team.

Cheering on Gerrard, Rooney, Wilshere etc? f**k that.

I don't support any country.

I enjoy seeing the home nations being beaten tbh which is sad I know but I just think the media make me that way with the way they go on about things.

I wacth the Euros and WC's but thats about it, don't bother myself with friendlies or anything, I'm stressed out enough with the clubs I hold dear.

As long as the chelsea players play well that is all I'm fussed about. In the summer when england went out on pens after a 0-0 draw I couldn't be more delighted.

Wow, your choice but personally I don't understand outlooks like that for an Englishman (if indeed you are one). the only England player who I couldn't bring myself to defend is Ferdinand.

Again, your choice, but if you're a lover of 'the game' then England v Brazil is an enticing watch (for me anyway)

It probably was, I just cant get into friendly games.

I always thing the aftermath of them if say England beat Brazil or Ireland beat say France then it gets blown way out of proportion.

Cant be bothered with it all.

You really do embarrass yourself more and more with every post you make, Randy.  I think you ought to have a look at yourself, particularly at whether you could do some sort of course to give you SOME sort of insight into football.

I realise there are people in this forum, such as you, who don't like me and can't help take a swipe at me.

I couldn't care less, and am proud to be a Chelsea fan of long standing.

I don't blindly follow the majority on certain football issues and toe the party line as apparently you do.

Since I've been a Chelsea supporter for over four decades I don't need you to instruct me on matters pertaining to football.

I can understand Gerrard and Rooney to an extent but Wilshere? What has he done to upset you two? I would personally worship the guy if he joined us, I have nothing against him.

It's not a case of liking or disliking, but all of the things you post SCREAM out that someone needs to instruct you.  Very nearly everything you post is just plain and simple wrong.

Anyway, back on ignore you go.

I think I'm the only person left yorkley reads.

Impeccable taste, our yorkley.

I hope he remains true to his word and stays off my back.

As my American friends would say "I think he's got a hair up his ass".

I am an American, and that phrase is rarely used over here (I think I heard it used once).

Philip, it's a phrase used by American military friends.

The thing is, the players you mention love playing for their Country and they are trying to help the players we don't like( because they don't wear Blue) to score goals and defend well, How do you think Frank would feel about English people having no affiliation with their Country? a Country that makes anyone who is anything like good enough at the game, dream about wearing the Shirt.

There is nothing better for a top player than to be picked for his Country, and for all we go on about having the best League in the World, although its not likely I love it when the English players from that League go out and prove themselves against the best other nations can offer, I don't care too much if I'm hoping a lot of those same players fall arse over tit every saturday.

Just, dkw & yorkley are spot on about most, if not all, of your opinions. Your post above is, once again, embarrassing. To say, in particular, that yorkley toes the party line is aberrant nonsense. I'm glad that some have finally had the guts to say what a lot of us have thought for some time about the quality of your opinions. And no-one is instructing you, it's just that most of the time your opinions are ill-concieved and pedestrian at best. Your nationalist rant in this thread, for example, is yet another example of the lameness of your views.

I was cheering when Rooney scored until I saw who it was, then it was more of a nod of the head.

Can't get behind Rooney, Welbeck or Rio or to a lesser extent Gerrard, but thats about it.

I have a lot of respect for Wilshere the way he came back from his injuries and the way he plays, would love to him him in our team, would be a great replacement for Frank when he goes.

But Arsenal would never sell one of their star players to a major rival. Oh wait...
