May 21, 201313 yr We won't win anything with that line up. Torres: Unreliable, in and out of form Ba: Not good enough, too mediocre, Newcastle his level Lukaku: Very young, excellent potential and should be given a chance in the squad but we cannot rely on him in CL or FA Cup Final. Not ready to be our main striker yet. Schurrle: Unproven in our League and in no way a world class striker. If, so good how come Bayern/ Dortmund aren't interested? Looking at our squad, the one thing we are missing in a world class centre forward. United went out and brought a proven goal scorer in RVP, Barca have Messi, PSG got Ibra etc etc. We will not win anything without one. Well we certainly did last season & this one, & with JM supposedly returning I can see we would do likewise.
May 21, 201313 yr theres a quote from mourinho in that article Ah, so there is. I only took a quick glance and thought the article didn't continue after the related articles box.
May 21, 201313 yr I want him back at our club for next season and Torres out. but should he go out on loan again, then I can think of no better place then Dortmund, who will most likely loose Lewandowski. He also saies he wants a move to germany should he fail to impress Chelsea this summer: http://www.insidefutbol.com/2013/05/21/tottenham-no-but-id-go-to-germany-chelsea-striker-romelu-lukaku-talks-future/86760/? May 21, 201313 yr Considering Dortmund are currently better than us, if he's good enough for them it's absurd to think he isn't good enough for us.
May 21, 201313 yr Lukaku should replace ba for next season. We need two strikers and he should be one
May 22, 201313 yr If we loan him out for another season I can only see him requesting a permanent move. I don't know how talk of him being unrefined can have any kind of depth? For him to filter out, surely the best thing we can do as a club is to surround him with world class players? He is almost perfect for the premier league, we could spend our money more wisely. I have reservations about the 50 million pound strikers adapting to the EPL. Get Lukaku in a spread money over getting a world class DM and RB A RB? we have Azpi, Ivanovic and Wallace coming. We certainly don't need anther RB.
May 22, 201313 yr Apparently West Ham want Lukaku next season to pair him up with Andy Carroll: http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/2013/5/22/4355126/romelu-lukaku-chelsea-loan-west-ham-david-sullivan Oh yes, I can hear all your hysterical laughter from here.
May 22, 201313 yr West Ham shouldn't push their luck. They'll be in the relegation fight next year and Lukaku needs to playing for a team playing in European competition if he is not leading the line at the Bridge
May 24, 201313 yr Transfer news: Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku fancies Borussia Dortmund moveChelsea striker Romelu Lukaku says a move to Borussia Dortmund would appeal to him if he is sent out on loan again next season. The 20-year old has had a rewarding season at West Brom, scoring 17 times, and he is set to return to his parent club in time for pre-season. The Belgian is still wanted back at The Hawthorns for another spell on loan, while West Ham are also reportedly keen on the former Anderlecht frontman. Lukaku only managed eight league appearances for the Blues in his debut season and the Belgium international admits he would be keen on a move to the Champions League finalists. "I'll start the season with Chelsea then I will speak with the management to discuss the best choice. I am a realist," he is quoted as saying in The Sun. "I still need to grow and for that I need to have time to play during the next season. Dortmund would be a good choice." http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8731903/Transfer-news-Chelsea-striker-Romelu-Lukaku-fancies-Borussia-Dortmund-move Obviously I'd rather he stay with us however if that isn't an option, a loan to Dortmund would be pretty amazing. May 24, 201313 yr Especially if that in any way helped us in getting Lewandowski If we get Lewandowski, I'd imagine Dortmund are going to want more than just a loan move for Lukaku. If we somehow manage to f**k this up I'm going to flip out. Lukaku should not be sold under any circumstances. Edited May 24, 201313 yr by Amputechture
May 24, 201313 yr He should stay in England, because if he does he will be a homegrown player. Edited May 24, 201313 yr by True Blue23
May 26, 201313 yr If we sell Lukaku i'm going to cut of my chubby conquistador and feed it to a kestrel. Same goes for Curtois
May 28, 201313 yr That was a very good watch, good to see that Thorgan has progressed so well too, hopefully we can find him a prem team next season.
May 28, 201313 yr you have to turn them on Below the video, second button from the left. Jeez, that chap at the start is a bit boring with his answers. Edited May 28, 201313 yr by Teritus
May 28, 201313 yr REALLY hope we don't f**k it up with Lukaku. Think he's going to be world class. His attitude is top notch. He's tall, he's strong, he's fast and he can bring others into play.
May 28, 201313 yr very impressive guy...not for the first time, he has come across with a really good attitude, so refreshing...get him in the squad now, make room by selling Ba or Torres, or both (if other big names are coming in)
