Lukaku to Everton

Featured Replies

lukaku can f off! his attitude at his age is shocking! benteke and orgini are going to be the fulcrum of the belgium attack because they are much better and not just in attitude! the way he behaved when wilmot subbed him was a disgrace and the amount of dribble that comes out of his mouth about playing just rubs people up the wrong way!

You sir, need to settle down. Go have a beer or go F Off yourself.

You also saw Jose have a falling out with almost the entire Real squad, so I don't think that's a good example.

I have no idea what actually goes on inside the dressing room, but it really seems that Lukaku and Mourinho do not have a good relationship and I fear that is what is driving his seemingly inevitable departure.

You are 100% correct! I say Roman gives Jose the sack so we can keep Lukaku

Nevermind he has done f**k all in a Chelsea shirt where there is actual pressure...

Why is it every summer the rats rise out of steerage and preach how badly the ship is sinking...

Letting Lukaku go will be a huge mistake and very probably the undoing of Mourinho.

I don't think even you think lukaku is that good.

I really believe that some Chelesa fans buy into the hype of Lukaku. He is still so raw. He isnt ready to be our number one striker and if you watched him at Everton last season you would have seen why. He still has a lot to work on, on and off the pitch to be a world class striker.

It does annoy me when people blame Jose. Last season Lukaku didnt want to stay and fight for a place. He would have only been up agaisnt Torres and at the start of the season an unfit Eto'o. Personally i dont think that was much of a challenge for Lukaku but instead he spat his dummy out and demanded to leave.

I dont blame Jose this season for buying Costa. It was clear that we cant rely on Lukaku to be around this season and Torres is still the same old Torres. And from what i have heard/read Drogba signing was actually Roman's suggestion.

Mourinho falls out with almost everyone eventually, it seems he has to have someone to,pick a fight with.

.

Does he? Strange that because pretty much every player at Porto, Chelsea and inter loved him and have said he was the best manager they have had. He fell out with some at Madrid due to him dropping casillas, which is now seen to have been the right decision. But plenty at Madrid have since came out to back José up, tellingly it was mainy the non Spaniards.

^ Where has he demanded to be number 1? All I keep hearing from him is he needs to play i.e. give me a fair chance to prove myself, this is the least you would expect after two successful loan deals. No one is expecting him/ any of our loan players to be the World's best player before getting a look in, all you ask for is a platform to build on (e.g. Deulofeu, Welbeck).

As for blaming Jose; you can't completely absolve him of any blame when he hasn't been complimentary towards him in the press. The Lukaku question kept popping up in the press but at no time did he acknowledge him (e.g. We are proud of how he is doing and look forward to having him back here next season), all I kept hearing is he belonged to Everton till the end of the season. I can remember Fergie been complimentary towards his loaned players saying he was looking forward to having them back in the 1st team. You can't underestimate what that does to a player's ego.

No one is blaming Jose for buying Costa and I believe Lukaku welcomes the competition, it is the elephant in the room; Torres whom no one is clear of his status in the pecking order. Is Torres 2nd/3rd choice in the pecking order? Mourinho has never clarified his status and I doubt Lukaku knows where he stands. If you are Lukaku no way are you coming back to play 3rd choice behind Torres which is very fair IMO.

Casillas has not undone Jose. And judging on Spain's World Cup offering, I think Jose was completely vindicated in dropping Casillas from the Real squad.

The spat with casillas filtered through the squad, and it is a known fact that cassilas's girlfriend was the one leaking all the dressing room bust up stories to the press - Sara Carbonero.

It was the ultimate undoing of mourinho at Madrid and led to him falling out with the likes of Ramos, ronaldo (that now infamous bust up post Valencia) and so on.

Even former players were wading in saying that the club should have held a mediation between casillas and mourinho. That falling out was, in my opinion, the ultimate undoing of mourinho at Madrid.

True, He does have a lot to work on, he's still only 21 years old. I don't want him to walk into Chelsea's first 11 and expect to start every game. I expect him to start as an alternate and earn his place in the first team, just like every other top quality player we buy has to do. I also fully expect him to take that chance and end next year as our top scorer, should he stay.

Saying that I can also see why he wasn't sure of playing last year and made the choice to move, a situation which hasn't hurt him, or Chelsea drastically for that matter. I'm sure Mourinho wanted him at the club last year and he chose differently It'll be up to Mourinho to make the decision of whether he wants Lukaku at the club and whether hes willing to placate his ego with promises of game time or whether he doesn't and is willing to see him move.

I fear a clash of ego's is going to see us miss on a player of extraordinary potential, the last thing I want to see is him move on and continue his upwards trajectory an fulfil his potential. For me its not if he fulfils it, its which club and which manager allow his the time to do it.

lukaku asked to be loaned out as soon etoo came into the picture. he obviously doesnt want a fair chance, he wants hand outs

why did the spat start, was it simply because Jose had the temerity to drop Casillas?

I understand that following a defeat to Barcelona, mourinho lost the plot with Ramos for sh*t defending and being culpable for at least one goal. Ramos said to mourinho "you would not know about switching marking responsibilities on the pitch because you were never a player". At one point in the argument mourinho said "you Spanish are world champions, your friends in the press protect you... Just like your goalkeeper". Casillas overheard and said that in Spain people say things to others faces and not behind their backs... And so the fall out began.

From that point forward it was only downhill and mourinho ended up falling out with the majority of the squad, many of whom were Spanish and favoured casillas. Again.. Casillas's girlfriend was the one leaking all dressing room bust ups and quotes to the press. f**king mess.. Madrid are c**ts and unfortunately for mourinho the politics overcame him and ultimately that fall out was the end of his time in Madrid.

Theres plenty of blame here to go around for both. Lukaku throwing his toys in the pram already in August was pretty weak, but honestly its hard to blame the lad. He was already behind Torres and Ba in the pecking order, hell even Scurrle was picked ahead of him, then when Etoo came it seemed clear he wasnt getting his shot any time soon. Now by all accounts Jose is a great motivator and a great man manager, convince him to stay, motivate him to guve it his all and assure him he will get his shot, thats all he needed to do. Now this year Lukaku is out with his big mouth again, which is unfortunate, but really all Jose had to do was give him a call and let him know what his plans are. From the sound of things he hasnt and I dont think hes going to. Imo it looks like Jose doesnt rate him and hes using some bollocks excuse that hes not "training hard enough" or "playing the right way" and that "his chance will come" like he did with Mata and KdB. Im fairly certain that just like the Mata and KdB situation hes going to let them go when a decent offer comes and then go on to proclaim that they didnt want to be here, when its quite clear Mou just didnt fancy them in his squad. I think Jose has proven to be correct about Mata and Kdb, I feel we are a more competitice team without them. I felt not keeping Lukaku proved a mistake last year and I think it will again this year. Time will tell really.

What I will say is that while Im likely to bitch and moab about every decision I do t agree with, Im fully behind Jose on this, we habe been moaning about manager stability and how they arent able to mold their own team for a good while, about time we showed a manager som trust when he finally gets the chance. I

Well here we go then.....looks like he wants out anyway....if this quote is anything to go by, good job things are kept confidential..

Head of recruitment Ian Atkins told talkSPORT on Saturday evening: 'Hopefully things can be sorted out, I think he’s quite settled in his mind that he wants to come to Everton, and hopefully he’ll be pulling on our blue shirt again next term.'

Well all I can say is if he really is a "complete striker" like he thinks he is maybe he should be more willing to fight for a place at a top club rather than taking a step down. Sounds a bit defeatist if you ask me.

On the other hand Atkins might just be trying to stir it up.

If Lukaku goes, then make sure the blue dippers pay a decent fee.

Lets just see how it all pans out.

What is there to fight? Diego Costa is going to be the first choice striker. There is, quite literally, nothing Lukaku can show in training or pre-season that will unseat Costa from his position.

Short of a major injury to Costa or Jose getting sacked (and replaced by a manager that favors 2 striker formations), Lukaku is going to be riding the bench most of this year. I can totally understand a young player wanting to go somewhere and actually play instead of sitting around.

Jose was trying out the two up front during yesterday's pre-season game, so maybe he is looking to integrate lukaku into the first team along with costa. I could be wrong, but it is a possibility.

I don't know that Everton want to take a 20+ Million chance on Lukaku, even though he was good for them.

It's all well and good taking snipets from teh papers etc, but they don't know what Everton's board are deciding.  Personally, I'd like to see Lukaku come back and fight for a place in the line up
