Conte is currently playing 2 DMs and whatever Oscar is so as to make the mid seem defensively decent. I dont think he is going to start Kante with Cesc and Oscar in the middle.

Point is Cesc needs to start and Matic and Kante would give cesc a far better cover than oscar and Kante.

Also, why would you have Oscar over Matic? Because of his magic tricks of performing disappearing acts. This fraud should not even have been on the roster, forget the first team.

Not with the formation and tactics we are using i wouldn't. I would rather we played Kante and Matic with Fabregas ahead of them.

I could quite happily not see him play for us again, nothing against the guy but he's the most frustratingly inconsistent player ever.

 

he's never really fulfilled the potential he had when he joined, I don't think he's really progressed from that stage.

It really is quite simple with Oscar. He is not good enough for where we want to be. If we want to finish outside the top 4 every season, then fine, let's stick with him, he is exactly the kind of player we need to finish in the top 10. But when it comes to challenging for the top spots, he quite simply is not good enough.

Some people have said he has had a bright start to the season, but i think in the opening 4 games he was 50/50, some good, some bad, nothing special really. Tonight though it was back to the poor Oscar we have become so used to seeing. 

We really should stop kidding ourselves here now. Last season was the worst it's been for Chelsea in a long time, and a lot of those players that were highly responsible for that played tonight, Oscar is one of those players. If we are going to persist with the same team that failed last season, then we really should expect to see the same this season.

 

We sold Mata and KDB for this fraud?? I cannot believe it. If Oscar was a genuine goal threat (as he should be) Liverpool don't win that game. All you have to do is stop Hazard and Costa because our number 8 is useless. 

Not really sure what he is in the team for, he doesnt offer enough going forward, and we already have 2 defensive midfielders in there.

The reason he plays instead of Fabregas is because of his high energy work rate and his tackling thats all he has over Fabregas. Jesus isn't Kante and Matic enough protection for playing at home?, we need some creativity for crying out loud.

I completely agree. What we need is someone with genuine football ability in attacking midfield, not a workhorse. We really shouldn't be a side that thinks so defensively all of the time, it's holding us back.

We set up at home tonight like we were playing Barcelona, i am bored of managers of Chelsea being worried about the opposition and forgetting our strengths and playing our game. Why can't we ever play 2 upfront? play Azpi at RB and Alonso at LB give us some width allowing Hazard and Willian to come inside. The football tonight was torrid, all we do is spray long passes out wide to Hazard or Willian and hope they might put a good cross in.

And after all that he decides to post on Twitter how happy he is to be called up to the Brazil team. Don't know if his sense of timing is worse online or on the pitch.

Again, i agree. I love a good defensive masterclass every now and again, but every time we come up against a decent side, that is the only way we seem to play these days. Ever since that freak result at Tottenham, we seem to be afraid of playing an attacking game. We are supposed to have one of the most dangerous players in world football in Eden Hazard, let's play to those strengths.

Trying not to be too negative about him as he is still our player at the end of the day, but I'm f**king sick to death of seeing him playing for us now.

I still agree with your point again because while watching the match yesterday I argued with a friend that even Ramires is a much better player than Oscar because I think even after 10 years to this time I will still remember some good games and efforts of Ramires when he was here especially in the champions league but for Oscar, there won't be any memory of him apart from the match against Juventus.
But the reason why he doesn't deserve being called a FRAUD is that we the fans know him well and if were the manager we would have sold him out. But he is still here not by his own choice but because the manager wanted him here. And that was why I was gutted when he scored a brace in the preseason against Milan because I know that will easily deceive Conte.

I'd like to personally thank Jose for selling De Bruyne and keeping Oscar instead. What a masterstroke it has turned out to be. Who needs all these pointless goals and assists when you can enjoy all that tracking back. Good times.

As much as I would like to disagree and dispute this, currently it seems we are headed down that road. If we sell cesc while keeping oscar, I would go berserk.

The worst thing is that there willl be some morons who would claim that it's the player who wants to go, can't blame the manager.. deja vu...

Unfortunately all the critics ( myself included) about Oscar was right again. He had no influence at all in the game, apart the usual 10 kms of running and some side way passes. He really needed to help to bring the ball out of our half, we can't rely on Kante/Matic to pass out of our area. Their pressing killed us on Friday, and we didn't do us any favour when Cesc was on the bench, and Oscar unwilling to help out the deep midfielders and keep the ball. Sure he wasn't the worst player on the field, but I'd take starting midfielders from most top half team over Oscar right now.
