I would say Oscar is our hardest working player, it makes sense for him to play a deeper role, and when he does, I also think Luiz should go back to CB and leave the creative stuff to Oscar, Luiz will still probably try the odd long ball over the top, especially when we've got Lukaku and Ba up front next season.

Think Mikel and Oscar would work quite well together actually.

I've personally found him to be a bit of a weak link. But that could be as much to do with how we've used him as anything else. One thing is for.certain we can't play Mata, Hazard and Oscar in the same team. Not direct enough and a bit too lax defensively

How good is he.....man of the match against England, easily best player on the pitch, and at Newcastle.

He can play anywhere in the middle or behind the strikers, he can pass short or long, can tackle, can shoot and has great awareness around him - what about the goal against brentford. Also a bit of a character, so glad we got him

Still very unstable in the league but probably our best player in Europe this year. Great future but i would still want to see him more in the deeper role.

Exactly, we were setting the league alight early on and the talk of the town.  With a defence on top of it's game, an effective double pivot and striker banging in goals the way things turned out could have been different.

Oscar is very obviously better used in the middle. He has actually improved playing from wide compared with his early performances there, but when he's in the middle he's a different beast. Mata is superb at cutting inside and finding killer passes and is first touch is good enough to get an edge on players in tight spaces. Oscar is also obviously the best defender we have out of our attacking players.

 

Moses has done well nearly every time he's played but I'm not convinced he's quite on the level of the other 3. He's a brilliant player to have for rotation and tactical purposes but the other 3 should be first choice. And Marin almost certainly isn't on their level.

I expect him to go on and become one of the best players around, hopefully he achieves that with us.

I like the idea of Oscar playing deeper.  But I would drop Luiz back in to central defence to accommodate him.

So Cahill moves backwards too, and replaces Cech?

He is still young as well, he should only get better. Will he stay with us? Im not so sure. I think in a few seasons the likes of Barca or Madrid will come calling and depending where we are at the time he could be tempted.

He's said a few times already that he loves London and wants to emulate Lampard to become a Chelsea legend. For me, he has that quality, maybe a bit more creative like Pirlo... I think if things go well, Mata and Oscar will be the heart of our squad.

I hope I am wrong but I see Hazard as the one to possibly leave in a few seasons...

I think he is destined for greatness, he's still young and will improve with age, a great talent and he is our's.

No such thing as players can't play together. People said the same about Crespo/Drogba, Anelka/Drogba, Lampard/Ballack. It's mythical. If your good enough, you can play with anyone.

when 2 players cant play with each other its mostly down to their mentality. ibrahimovic and messi couldnt play together

True, for me he is yet to put in another performance as good as the one against Juventus.

People said similar things about Ramires in his first year too. Once Oscar truly gets comfortable with the pace of the Prem, I believe he will be one of the best we ever had in midfield.

Even more reason why Frank should be offered a contract, his experience and worth ethic is vital to these young players.

i think Oscar may have been our best bit of business this year Hazard has performed better this season, but i can see oscar being our best player in a year or two. his natural ability is stunning, with a first touch second to none. needs to bulk up slightly, and adapt to the pace, but by next season i think he will be one of a new breed of 'untouchables'

Can you imagine mata hazard oscar being coached by Zola i would pay just to watch them 4 train together.

Which is why we need to get our house in order.

 

Mata, Hazard and potentially Oscar as well are the most naturally gifted players we have had at the club and unless we sort out the managerial situation and make sure we are competing for the League and Europe those sorts of talents won't stick around.
