October 21, 201411 yr Seriously... Look at his arse. Look at it. What the hell?! it's a well known Chelsea disease known as "Jimmy Floyd's arse". Incurable unfortunately.

October 21, 201411 yr If my lady had an ass like Hazard, id bite it at every chance I could, thats all I have to say without losing some of my masculanity :P

October 22, 201411 yr anyone get a sense of deja vu when eden scored that fine last goal tonight...took me back to a certain franco zola making a mockery of julian dicks
October 22, 201411 yr I realise its all to do with money but I always find it strange that the team change the kit they train in for Champions league games.
October 22, 201411 yr He's so good I cannot describe, his dribbling is second to none, his pace, his creativity and 1 vs 1 etc. But the only thing he lacks is shooting. If he improves his shoot count he'll score way more. And be regarded or be in serious contention for top 5 in Ballon D' Or. I seriously think he's a better or as same level as Bale in terms of overall play but Bale is considered superior in the world because he scores more. Same is the case with Neymar he's been rated the one of best talent because he's scoring at good rate. It's not like Hazard can't score in good ratio it's because he's just doesn't have enough shots. If he starts to score more I'd have him in top 10 or even in top 5 in the world but untill then he has to improve his scoring and shooting, his overall game play is far better but he hardly shoots! (though he scored 2 yesterday.) He needs to find consistency to be regarded as a great player which I think he's achieving. C'mon Hazard you can do it! I have high hopes on you! Only the best. He should definitely aim for 20-25 goals this season. Edited October 22, 201411 yr by CFCBlue12
October 22, 201411 yr That first touch though.... WOOF! The touch to bring it back onto his right foot is perfect too. He needs to learn to be a little bit more selfish and more clinical. Missed some good chances because he was busy trying to be fancy or looking for someone to pass it to.
October 22, 201411 yr I don't think he needs to learn to be selfish tbh, he had a good few chances to tee someone up but tried hard to do it on his own. He deos need to be more clinical though but that will come, he really could have had 1 or 2 more goals last night. I love watching him when he's in this form.
October 22, 201411 yr Was a belting pass wasn't it, I now it was a done game when he came on but Ake did really well I thought.
October 22, 201411 yr It was a cracking pass. I thought he did ok. He looked at ease but then the game was all said and done really. But if he can come on in games like that and perform like he did then who knows what might happen.
October 22, 201411 yr I thought Zouma was the outstanding youth on show. He's a giant for a lad of 19, playing beside Terry will only help him push on.

I agree, he looked far more positive than he has done in previous games. Generally speaking in the past he has played quite cautiously (even when alongside Matic or Mikel) but I suppose he had licence to roam a little more last night considering the quality of opposition, the fact he was replacing Fabregas and also the five-goal cushion (at the time)...
October 22, 201411 yr Without that immaculate first touch, i'm not sure he would of scored, it momentarily gave him the time to do the stuff that followed, seriously that is what Messi does all the time maybe without scoring, but the comparisons will continue, trouble is Messi was so much better at 23, so unfortunately he has some way to go, he definitely needs to shoot more, but i still think he should play more centrally, Messi doesn't play as an out and out CF, so Eden could modify his role, if Jose permits it....

I think the comparisons with Messi are unfair. Messi is possibly the best player to ever play the game, it's very unlikely that another one like Messi is going to appear anytime soon.
October 22, 201411 yr Best attacker in the modern football I'd say. But you cannot compare him to defenders or to players from 40-50-60 years ago.
October 22, 201411 yr His performance in the second half was, without a doubt, the most driven towards scoring I've seen from him. Constantly looking to run the channels and break the back line. Even on the weekend I was somewhat disappointed with him because 10v10 against a small team is a situation made for him to score. There's a reason why he hasn't scored many goals from through balls and someone like Schurrle does - willingness to get in-behind. If he adds that to his game, as well as providing more crosses, he will be the complete forward.
October 23, 201411 yr Was a belting pass wasn't it, I now it was a done game when he came on but Ake did really well I thought. Gerrard did a pass like that about twice last season, and is apparently the English Pirlo.
October 23, 201411 yr His performance in the second half was, without a doubt, the most driven towards scoring I've seen from him. If I were to take a random guess, I would say he got a bit of an earful from Jose for letting Drogba take the first penalty and was told to go out there and be more selfish in front of goal. He's got the ability to make more of an impact and he needs to starting doing it more like he did in that second half. Sometimes needs to just do the simple things well though, he killed a couple of decent chances in that game by trying to be too fancy with pull backs etc when it wasn't required.

Agreed. No doubt it's something he needs to add to his game simply because he can do it and do it well. And that is what ultimately affects matches. Dribbling past 3 players is great, but if you end that with a simple lay-off you've essentially done nothing. And over the last 2 seasons he has one of the lowest crosses/game ratio of any top wide player. But it's visible that he is addressing it. Jose: "When he says ‘I’m not one of the five top players in the world’ – he can be, but he cannot be in a match where he doesn’t do something in the 90 minutes that makes him decisive." “The week before against Arsenal, I was on him every day – be decisive. Don’t be happy with doing nice things."
