Cesc Fabregas

Featured Replies

To be fair to Torres,   that comment was true. We don't have a guy who could play the killer through ball on a regular basis ( after Mata left), that's why we are so short of goals, especially against smaller teams. Jose knows it too, that's why he signed Cesc.

Yeah . . . and his poor form for spain can also be contributed to that as well. If only spain had a creative midfielder to set up chances for Torres

Don't think he's been that poor for Spain tbh.

Last time he was starting games he won the golden boot did he not?

2 sub appearances late in the second when the team are down and out more recent.

He needs to stop blaming everyone else and come to terms he lost his spark years ago and is no longer a good striker.

He won the golden boot by scoring 3 goals. 2 against Ireland and one of the last Ina route against Italy. It was a joke

He still scored more or the same as anyone else so how is it a joke?

Seems some people just HATE him for some reason, bitter chunts man

He didnt. He scored the same as as six others, one of them didnt even reach the playoff rounds. He won it due to his one assist on the fifth goal. Lets not act like he was terrific at the Euros. He was the same old Torres

Jose on Fabregas.

"He is the kind of player we need.  Not just for his qualities as a player but also his competitive personality."

"He is a player in the best years of his career - 26, 27, 28. He knows England well, he knows the Premiership well, so he will not need time to adapt.  I think he is the kind of player who will come and train for a couple of weeks and be ready to prove himself."

Torres is a beast. Just wait next season.

I've been waiting ever since Jan 2011, what's a few more months I spose!

Yes it would because this is the Fabregas thread.....

Lmao touche. For some reason, I thought because Torres was brought up it was the groundhog day thread. Should have known better

But clearly a beast whose puberty is very late coming...

Really looking forward to seeing what he can do for us. Real football can't come quick enough! Sod this World Cup malarkey!

Exactly, I had no interest in england doing well at the world cup anyway, honest....

dont be silly, its only CALLED the Fabregas thread. Everyone knows that every thread on this site is actually just another Torres thread. He's the new Mikel!

I'm loving the World Cup for a change Gem.

It's a huge improvement on 2010, goals galore

Spain's training for their final match of the World Cup witnessed dramatic scenes, according to a report in Spanish newspaper AS, as Cesc Fabregas clashed with manager Vicente Del Bosque.

Fabregas was reportedly ordered to hand over his training bib and sit the session out, with La Roja's coach apparently feeling that the new Chelsea signing wasn’t working hard enough in training.

AS reports that Del Bosque was critical of Cesc’s attitude during Saturday's session, believing that Fabregas wasn’t working with the necessary intensity or the right body language. Xabi Alonso took the bib instead.

Fabregas is said to feel Del Bosque hasn’t given him a fair chance at the World Cup: he was in the starting XI until recently, but was merely the third substitute introduced against the Netherlands and he didn’t even get on to the pitch in the defeat by Chile.

The incident isn’t though to be serious enough to push Fabregas out of the reckoning for the side to play Australia on Monday in Spain’s last World Cup game, with Marca reporting that Fabregas will start.

Gerard Pique pulled out of training for the match with an abductor injury, while Iker Casillas may be replaced by Pepe Reina.
