A very good friend and former neighbour of mine, who is losely connected to Bruce Buck's Law Firm tells me that Jose has been harbouring a secret wish to bring Karim Benzema to the Bridge. He is clearly waiting to see how the Rooney deal pans out, but I wouldn't mind betting if Madrid get Bale, Benzema will be coming our way.

I wanted us to sign Benzeama a few years ago when he wasn't getting a game at real and I thought he could be one of those madrid buys you can get on the cheap because they overloaded there team. then Jose went there and got the best out of him.

Still only 25, think he would be a great buy any where south of 30 million.

As for madrid, not being left with any strikers... we pretty much did that last year after we sold sturridge, and they have less scence then us a football club

My ex-girlfriend's personal accountant's twise removed cousin is a close friend of the Bruce Buck's dog walker's lesbian lover's neighbour. I checked through my sources and apparently Benzema to CFC is not happening.

Why would they sell Benzema? Doesn't make any sense. They just sold Higuain. Won't happen. Real isn't a selling club and certainly not one of their best players.

We have Lukaku, Torres, Ba and the likes of Shurllle who can play down the middle - I cannot see Jose losing sleep over the Rooney saga ( I can Moyes - job done ) or him panicking into a rush buy.

But there is a huge risk in that. That risk falls into a 19 year old boy. We pretty much know what Ba and Torres can and can't do. They can miss sitters and can't be the difference in the so called top 4 games...at least Torres can't.

Lukaku has already played 150 games as a professional. He is very experienced for his age, and is obviously physically mature. He has been an icon for nearly 5 years and is no stranger to pressure, or the spotlight.

He is only 19 but its more like us putting our faith in a 23/24 year because of his experience, and his physical and mental maturity.

I think he's ready to take english football by storm, just as the like of rooney, fabregas, Owen, fowler etc did when they were very young.

Hope you are right. That is the positive view of it but you know of he fails to impress it is no. 9 from Spain leading the line.
