March 19, 20188 yr Last couple of matches I've noticed Moses break into the penalty box with just the keeper to beat yet instead of having a crack, he pauses looks up to see who is available for the cross one more touch and then gets clattered. Have a go man, Gronkjaer couldn't cross either yet he had a decent shot and would often score.
March 24, 20188 yr just finished watching the Poland vs Nigeria match - Moses put in an ok shift & scored the winning goal for the Super Eagles, but that was a PK that was given to him for diving - I don't know what to say - when it works I guess its ok but I am not a fan of divers

April 1, 20188 yr Dont like getting at our players but Sorry but this man has not been good enough for Chelsea for a long time, what does he bring to the team.. Give zappacosta a run in the side

April 2, 20188 yr Certainly the narrative at the time was he was a recommendation from Conte after we missed out on Danilo, Meunier etc. and refused to buy Candreva. Frankly you wonder how a guy like Odriozola, Ricardo Pereira etc. slipped through the net. Moses decline is symptomatic of our season. Superb last season, he has well and truly reverted to the mean. Given his home grown status he might be hard to move on in the post season. In my mind Sterling should be used ahead of both players for the remainder of the year.

April 2, 20188 yr Conte said it he wanted Walker and Danilo. Also he wanted Mendy or Sandro for the left side. Board give him Emerson and Zapacostta. Enough said.

Don't start talking BS, any manager can talk in the press and say they like players even if the club can't afford or have no intention of buying the player. Let's just say it's true, Mendy and Walker would never join Chelsea, City is the place to go. Danilo wanted to join City so there's 3 players Chelsea have NO chance of buying. No one knows what happened with the Sandro deal, we could have been talking absolutely ridiculous money. Edited April 2, 20188 yr by Ernie_blue

April 2, 20188 yr I don't see a future for Moses at Chelsea in all honestly He's a decent wing back but nothing special, with Conte likely to leave we'll probably employ a manager who plays a back 4. I can't see Moses working as a RB and he's not good enough attacking wise to start on the wing for us
April 2, 20188 yr the only reason he is playing is because conte insists on that formation. if it was four at the back azpilicueta would be first choice. for me we should try with a back four of azpi, christensen, rudiger, alonso/palmieri. we won't though because conte refuses to change things.
April 2, 20188 yr If we play a back 4 Azpi and Aina at RB, Emerson Alonso/Rahman LB. Centre backs Rudiger,Christensen, Zouma and a new signing.

Maybe koulibaly or romagnoli. Can't see Rahman ever coming back tbh. Looking forward to seeing 4 at the back again, 3 at the back worked well until teams adjusted, and while it is still a good option in some games, it has limitations imo.

We wont be signing the 2 names above, too much money for either. I reckon we will go for someone english we might not buy anyone if Luiz ends up staying but Cahill should definitely go.

What I meant was no top team has regularly played 3 at the back for 20 years, even conte's juve flopped in europe, and looked better in a 4 under allegri. So I would love to see the back of it. Lascelles has been linked today. He seems to be developing nicely. I like Maguire at Leicester aswell.
April 3, 20188 yr He's started to look like a player that had underwhelming loan spells at Liverpool, West Ham and Stoke.

April 4, 20188 yr Moses is a great athlete, gets up and down the wing and has pace. His problem seems to be football intelligence, constantly makes the wrong decision and has no end product. Zappa seems to me to be an average but steady squad player. Decent enough depth and can come in and do a job when needed. In short, happy to keep one of them around, but only as back up and squad depth. I don't think either are the long term answer to the rwb first team spot. The problem is, who is there available to come in , willing to transfer to a club not playing champions league and be better (consistently) than either of them? I can't see many viable options. For that, I would guess that both Moses and Zappa will be kept around next year, and more urgent problems will be addressed before upgrading them.
