It seems to be a choice between Oscar and Ramires every match.... Oscar for me today though.

Class goal, and general play was excellent. It was an excellent tackle that he was booked for too, referee was rubbish all match.

Comes down to Mourinho though. Great substitutions, for which I'm sure BrewCrew will be quick to compliment him on...

Oscar was my MOTM too, but that tackle that got him the booking looked very much as if he'd caught him late.

Mata for me, lovely take from a nice cutback from Ba (good first half hour from Ba) and contributed all over the pitch.

Replay showed he poked the ball away first. Ref was looking to book him because of how fired up he was after he didn't win a clear freekick 5 seconds earlier.

A few contenders today.

Oscar, Rambo, Terry stood out.

Can't choose between them.

It was a sublime finish from Oscar so he may just deserve it.

I don't know, I'm undecided.

I'll think about it and get back to you.

Oscar.  Boy is this kid becoming something special.  Only Ozil and Ramsay come close to him this year in terms of AM.

Terry is still by far our best defender!

Oscar for me. Great finish and showed quality throughout the game. Was great to see him and Mata linking up so well in the first half too.

Just read through here and saw I said Mata...don't know why as I voted the obvious (Oscar) and even put lovely take for the goal

Thought Rami was a bit poor first half but upped his game second half to be the nearest option.

Ramires for me.

The work rate, especially in the second half was just outstanding. He does so much off the ball that contributes to so many aspects of our overall game both defensively and in attack.

Whenever we counter at pace he runs the length of the pitch to be involved and it causes real problems for the defending team as he always seems to be the extra man. There was a prime example of it today when Ba (I think) shanked a shot that could have been laid off for Ramires who was arriving in the box at speed ready to take the shot on. A prime example of this sort of play which always sticks in my mind was against Benfica at home in the CL in 2012 when Meireles scored with a peach but he only had the opportunity because the Benfica defenders has been pulled all over the place by Ramires running the length of the pitch to provide an option for Meireles. Doesn't seem to matter if it's the 1st minute of the game or the 90th, he's willing to graft even if he doesn't get the glory, and I love it.

Ramires for me.

Bang on. He runs up and down up and down. His attitude is phenomenal. He's a real team player and a bloody good player too. Sure, he could have given away a penalty but he had tracked back and if it wasn't for him they would surely have scored.

Ok, I know I am going against the grain on this one, and before you lynch me, i did vote for Ramires because he was "here, there & everywhere!" - the work rate alone is enough for him to get my vote.

However - Star man for me was Mourinho!!

Yes, yes, i cant select the manager (but maybe that SHOULD be an option moving forward) But the subs he made at the right time as well as the change of shape, made the difference for me... Some might think unorthodox, but it tipped the game in our favour!

So happy to have him on our side ... again!  :good2:

Over the 90 it was probably Oscar in fairness, but gave my vote to the hardly-played but oddly, much-maligned, Demba Ba. Physical presence, good movement and some decent touches. Yes, there were also some poor touches but hey, ho, we are used to that from our strikers aren't we?

Who'd a thunk it. Two decent performances from our centre-forwards in a row. Just need them to score some goals as well and we will be flying.
