Special shout-out to Cech though. He saved our bacon during that period of Schalke pressure.

Voted Cech, but was a toss up between him and Torres. Decided on Cech since hes lost out on a few close ones this year.

Torres was great tonight so get's my vote. Hazard, Cech and the defenders played very well as well.

Thought Dave did very well as well, obviously a solid defender but he's not played LB often and took to it well. Our best fullback imo, only problem was he rarely crossed and kept cutting inside which is perfectly understandable. 

Torres for me too.......As his confidence rises watch him blitz

Has to be Torres, although special mention to Hazard, Terry and Cech.

Torres gets the vote from me, Cech once again proves he is the best keeper in the league and not many in europe I would prefer to have between our sticks.

Got to give my vote to Torres, unlucky not to have had a hat trick, the header against the bar was as good as in and his unselfish movement across the box for Hazards goal added to no hint of being upset not to have been given his third and I think he deserves it.

 

Azpi done ok with a couple of good blocks and although I don't know why he was chosen ahead of Ryan, I won't be complaining about his performance.

 

Cech, Cahill and Terry give me a lot of confidence and it will be interesting to see who gets the second CB spot on sunday.

Went with Cech.  His first half performance ensured that we could still compete in the second half.  But great to see Torres with another good game.

Torres gets it, but Cahill, JT and Cech also played very well.

Torres for me,Torres at pace looks a fearsome sight, movement and finishing fabulously well, but i cannot think of a better player to try and have to, defend against than Hazard, he'll make your blood twist, pure class..

Torres and special mention to Cech.

Got to be the number 9, really excels in the European fixtures.

Cech - he was tremendous - one of his best performances post Reading.

Thought the stand-outs were Hazard, Cech, (all the defence did well too)but it has to go to Torres.

 

He looks a different player again and lets hope it continues.

Fernando of course! Cech could have easily gotten it as well and I thought Azpi was impressive considering he played LB, some important blocks from the guy as well.

Fernando Torres. Against Tottenham and again last night, he looked the part. So unlucky with the header that hit the cross bar as well.

 

 

He has to keep this up. If he can outshine Aguero, and get the better of Kompany, on Sunday I will really start to believe we have a proper centre-forward once more.
