Well we're not on the best of form lately. Defending set pieces being the main factor. We're against a side who are managing to string some results together.

But we're at home and I'm fairly confident we will give them a hiding. Arsenal face City away so anything less than a win is unacceptable.

A clean sheet will also be ideal.

Cech

Ivanovic

Terry

Luiz

Cole

Mikel

Ramires

Mata

Oscar

Hazard

Eto'o

Luiz had a solid game against Steaua so I think he should get a start.

2-0

I would go with:

             Cech

Dave - Luiz - JT - Cole

   Ramires - Lampard

Mata - Schurrle - Hazard

                Ba

Ba to keep his place, he is the only forward to have scored in a while so you can't keep rotating that position if a player is looking like scoring.

Keep Mikel far away from the starting line up, a home match against relegation fodder is no place for him.

Schurrle back in, best player against Stoke and was lively when he came on last night.

Dave was rested last night so I think he should play ahead of Ivan who has yet to be rested.

Luiz and JT to carry on at the back after letting in 7 goals in 3 games the clean sheet was very welcome last night.

I would have said Oscar to play ahead of Lampard but I think we all know that's never going to happen.

playing against Pullis you know they will park the bus…could be a frustrating afternoon unless we score early…how many times have we said that this season? if we score early 4-0…longer it goes on 1-0

Cech

Bertrand (yeah right, that's a laugh)

Cahill

Luiz

Azpilcueta

Ramires

De Bruyne (lloololololol..doubt it)

Hazard

Mata

Shurrle

Eto'o

That is the line up I'm predicting, not the line up I'd prefer.

I'd like to see

Cech

Azpilicueta

Luiz

Terry

Cole

Ramires

KDB

Schurrle

Mata

Hazard

Eto'o

As with last night against Bucharest, mikel playing in these kinds of games do him and the side no favours. He looks uninvolved and the team slow down far too much.

Absolutely no excuse for anything other than a win here.

Draw or Lose here and I'd say we have serious reason to panic, and a really bad need to buy a big striker in Jan.

If I have gathered anything this year it is that Schurrle must play. I'm really starting to see his value, always gives 110%.

A 2-niller would be great and that is about all you could expect at the moment. We seem to play down to our opponents level, I have more confidence in a match vs City than I do when we play the likes of stoke/swansea/westbrom/ etc. We are missing a cdm who can play the ball forward and quickly, Mikel is an okay player but he cannot do that and Rambo is definitely not a cdm.

I am confidant we will win.

Agreed, schurrle has impressed me a lot. He gives us something our other attacking players don't and that is direct running.

What I'd like to see, somewhat mixed with what I expect to see

Palace boss Pulis: ‘It’s absolutely amazing that people are criticising Chelsea’

New Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis fails to see why Saturday’s opponents Chelsea are being criticised.

Pulis has had little opportunity to assess his squad since his appointment and will have even less time in the next three weeks, with five Premier League matches before the January 4 FA Cup clash with West Brom.

Newcastle, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Norwich are four of the opponents but first up is their London rivals the Blues, whose stuttering form has led to their title credentials being questioned in some quarters.

Pulis has no doubts as to the ability of Jose Mourinho’s side.

He said: “I think it’s absolutely amazing that people are criticising Chelsea. They’re third in the Premier League, they’ve just won their group in Europe and they’re in the quarter-finals of the League Cup. They’re having a stinker, aren’t they?

“They’re not doing too bad from where I’m looking. I expect them to be a lot stronger in the second half of the season.â€

Chelsea, who beat Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday night, have conceded six goals in the last two Premier League games, but Pulis insists Palace are major underdogs going to Stamford Bridge.

He added: “We’ve had 10 points out of five games, a real good run, the confidence is high, they [the players] are enjoying the football at the moment.

“[but] there’s a massive gulf between what Chelsea have got and what this club have got.

“It’s always difficult going away and playing the top, top sides in this league. You need them to be off form, you need to be right on top of it and you need some breaks as well.â€

Defender Dean Moxey is doubtful with a hamstring injury.

The full-back is one of three ever-presents for the Eagles this season but went off during the first half of the defeat of Cardiff with a grade one tear and will be assessed prior to kick-off.

Ba should start imo.He looks the sharpest of our three strikers at the moment.Cole still doesnt look on top form so Dave can come back in.Luiz adds a bit more passing range from the back but i would rest Mikel,he slows the game down too much.Cech back in goal but Schwarzer is looking like a very good number two.JT has to play in my book,we are not the same side without him.I will go with Cech,Ivan,JT,Luiz,Dave,Lamps,Ramirez,Oscar,Mata,Hazard,Ba.Schurrle to be introduced early if not working(unlucky not to start,i like him)Get at them from the off.Come on you Blue Boys!

Just letting you all know meeting in the Cock on the north end road at 1.30 for a meeting regarding the atmosphere at the bridge. If any of you can attend do.

Needed...!! Interesting on Palace day with their fans being described (by some) as 'Ultraish'.  Them aside, if some fans are too self-conscious and repressed to sing the minimum I'd like to hear is constant whistling, jeering, etc when the other team have the ball in our half, anyone can do this - set the ball in motion Graham...........................

Yep, the Palace fans will put us to shame tommorow, will prob be the loudest away support we get domestically this season. How times change.
