Balotelli is the modern day Cantona before he signed for Man Utd. He needs to find his inspirational and understanding home and at the age of 23 will surely soon show signs of maturity under the right manager.

 

We all know he was bombed out as a youngster by Jose, we also know Balotelli stills has a high regard for Jose and his 'inner strength' team mentality. Like when Ferguson got hold of Cantona, I can picture a smug Mario chipping in a beauty in front of the Shed End with arms folded with teammates and Chelsea fans in awe.

 

He is a finisher of the highest order, has International goals and a terrific ratio in Seri A and of course Premiership experience and goals on his CV.

 

We need a striker and I believe him and Lukaku would hit it off and his crazy attitude would fall perfectly in place with the likes of John Terry.

 

I have always believed Shaw would end up at Stamford Bridge. The kid is blue through and through, the next Gareth Bale, you'd better believe it and Ashley is coming to the end. He has improved defensively this season and again under Jose he will continue to improve for certain. His balance, positioning, control and delivery of the ball is top drawer at this young age, what a signing this kid would be.

 

On to Zouma, I cannot believe the negative stuff I have read on here about the kid. Ok he is at the age when we know Centre Half's go one way or the other but I know an Insider in France who thinks this kid will be the best in the world within 5 years. He is the son of an old friend of mine who sadly is no longer with us, who once told me Drogba would become the best striker in the world. He is on Marseille's youth books and has first hand knowledge of Zouma and says ...

Whether or not we're realistically looking to sign Balotelli though is another thing. There's no disputing he has enormous natural talent...just don't expect him to be able to put on a bib.

Shaw is a no-brainer, although you seem to contradict yourself saying we'll buy him to replace Ashley Cole at left-back, but is the new Gareth Bale (currently playing right-wing at Real Madrid).

 

Zouma is also a no-brainer, Mangala would be better but considering the respective prices and the *dealing with Porto aspect* Zouma is the far more logical option.

 

The Balotelli stuff is nonsense, our system requires just one man up front, when has a lazy striker ever played up front on his own, and when has Jose ever tolerated a lazy striker? We may be able to improve his attitude slightly but the workrate of these Ibrahimovic/Berbatov/Di Canio/Cantona type characters is never to the standard that we need from our strikers.

Bale was a left back at Southampton and didn't move to a more offensive role after a few seasons at Tottenham. I seem to remember them Spuds heckling Bale back in those days. I could be wrong but Jol and Ramos both played Bale at left back and it was Redknapp who began playing him more up the pitch.

Love to have Shaw and Zouma. Balotelli could be a top top striker at Chelsea and we would set the world ablaze with our squad. However, things could go terribly wrong too. Balotelli is just too unstable for me. Be worth a chance especially if we could somehow tie on incentives on his performance in the deal with Milan. Like if he performs top drawer and behaves, we will pay more but if he is a total nutter, we get a discount. Doubt Milan would go for that though.

Ive seen him dive, sulk, try stupid and necessary backheels. Never seen him put a shift in. Some of my friends are milan fans, and they are absolutely sick of him.

Last time I saw balotelli play was in December, and it was quite possibly the worst performance I have ever seen comparing it to our current strikers. He's not what we need.

He is an amazing talent. Yes he is a little bit loopy but as he matures into a man he will sort that out and will be an asset to any team.

It's not worth the risk in my opinion, Balotelli is best left in Italy. He's talented don't get me wrong, but he's also comical.

I think we'll get shaw and prob in the next couple of days. He would be a great signing and i would love to see him at the bridge. Not sure about zouma and as for balotelli I think he is a great player but might be a total liability, but mourinho will know best, he has worked with him and will know whether he can be tamed.

Costa has had one good season? He hit 20 goals last season and that was playing behind Falcao. I seem to remember Drogba, our best ever striker only having 1-2 good seasons before we bought him. 

 

Cavani was just an example, yes he's expensive but he's a world class striker 

 

And Mandzukic may not be more talented than Mario, but he is still a top quality forward that played a big part in Bayerns dominance last season. Would also fit into our system due to his work rate, strength and ability to link play

Costa is 25, cavani is 28, manzukic is similar age too. Plenty time to improve him.
