That was Schurrle and Willian's first season, it'd be stupid to offload them. Oscar is still only young too.

Not sure about Schurrle since hes a decent back up and we wouldnt make any profit. But as far as Oscar goes, I think there teams that would take him for +30m, and I wouldnt be surprised of Chelsea do sell him. Im not aware of his contract situation though.

Yeah I think it's make or break for oscar as well this season. If he doesn't step up I can see us cashing in. Not sure who will be available though, I like sanchez and Rodriguez, but neither will be available if they move this summer.

The 'inconsistency issue' of wouldnt be an issue if other players could contribute. Youre making it sound like we should expect Hazard to be on top of his game every match, even though even Ronaldo and Messi cant perform at that level.

 

Hazard is absolutely right when he says 'I cant do everything alone'. I feel his performances would improve if he wasnt stepping out on the pitch with the mindset of 'either i play great or we lose points'.

 

Hes our only creative outlet, along with Matic (to a lesser extend of course). Signing Fabregas is huge step in the right direction, and it would be the same with Pogba.

 

Hazard should, and will learn how to impose himself more and be more consistent. I feel he has it in him. I dont think its the same with Oscar, Schurrle and Willian. I just think theyre limited players. But even if Hazard improves, and is consistent, wed still be counting on 1 player to win us matches.

 

Its a bracket I place among the whole group, he is the most consistent of all of them this is true. But together they have too many off days.

Pretty harsh on Hazard here. Almost pipped Suarez for player of the year at age 23. Had a remarkable year. Oscar and Willian are the concerns. One of them really needs to take that extra step.

Most attacking midfielders are inconsistent, good luck trying to find ones that are. Hazard who we all think is inconsistent scored us 17 goals and created more chances than any other player in the premier league.

Well with this performance so far today, wouldn't mind going for Kroos or Khedira over Pogba. They are both just bossing the midfield in a similar fashion to Pogba and either should be less expensive.

 

Edit: I know one game is no barometer for how well a player is but we have been linked to these guys before & they are definitely quality midfielders that would improve our team. And I know that Kroos to Madrid is probably a done deal, so wishful thinking.

Oscar has character as well as ability and will have to underperform for a long spell not to be kept.

He needs a rest, and now he will get one.

I thought luiz also showed character and will be missed although we have used the money well.

If we sell off half the average/dud players and get a few milly for each it's really more like another £30M signing. Possibly even less if we let Cech go too.

For what it's worth I read a rumour on Twitter earlier that Juventus are planning to sell Vidal to Man Utd for €40m and intend to replace him with Celtic's Scott Brown.

Huge step down for Brown, makes no sense.
