Diego Costa to Chelsea

Featured Replies

Anyone seen the picture doing the rounds of all the national papers sports pages this morning?

All of them lead with the Costa "stamp" incidents and not, you know, the game.

Anyone have a link to Agueros stamp earlier this season? Ive searched high and low but it seems to have been removed from the internet.   :conspiracy:

I can remember when he stamped on David Luiz's backside, he did it with viscous intent and force.

The coverage is understandable. The game on Saturday is bigger than the League Cup final and this incident will be a key factor in it, plus the media can get a couple of days worth of coverage out of it.

What is humorous to me is how the City fans constantly bang on about an 'agenda' against them. f**kwits the lot of them.

For me the funny thing about this is that we are in a cup final and none of their poxy teams are.

I hope those breakfast lemons tasted good!

That is f**king joke. I know it shouldn't but it winds me up so much

Why have we got people on here calling Diego a disgrace. Unless you have had a chat with him and he said he meant it wake up.

You can not prove beyond doubt he meant to do that. Changes direction doesn't accelerate the foot down on Cant so no way you can say that is a stamp let alone call it a disgrace and a Liberty like some c**ts in the media

Absolute joke

I would agree if the fixtures weren't City, Everton and Villa. I think we'll beat Everton but City is gonna be tough and Jose has never won at Villa Park.

3 of our 6 most difficult, on paper games left (along with Liverpool, United and arsenal). With Diego I do not expect 9 points, without him I expect even less.

Media have really gone over the top, I think it's disgusting the way the media have reacted. They've played there part and no doubt he'll end up with a three match ban now.

Is the way the media treat our players and is nothing compared to how they went after jt.

None of you should be surprised by this.

A draw at home to city is fine. Villa are absolutely sh*t. If we can't beat them then we should he worried. Home to Everton, they are never going to bother us.

The City fans fiasco I've heard is an absolute joke, that forum is just about as bad as RAWK.

If he is going to be charged which he no doubt will when do you think it will happen? Obviously it will have to be before the City game but there isn't even long left, sometimes they take about 5 days just to make a decision like this.

I'm sure they'll rush the decision so as to not allow him to play against City.  I thought bans only applied to competitions the event happened in?  Or is it European and England?

Don't need to prove it 100%, the fact that it could have been avoided is enough to go of.

You said you think he meant it, how did you come to that conclusion? Whatever way you did will be the same thought process used when reviewing even if intent can't be certain.

FA have shot themselves in the foot really by not banning aguero for two of the most obvious stamps i've seen in recent memory but that still doesn't excuse what Costa did. He'll be banned most likely and I really wouldn't have any complaints, it was a silly thing to do.

Remodez the F.A. only act when it is a big issue, they always have.

Costa didn't get banned for dragging Sigurddson down by his face earlier in the season, he escaped that because no one spoke of it, even match of the day barely said a thing. This incident right here has been classed as outrageous and crimes the lot.

It makes a good story, I don't blame the media I actually blame Costa because it was a stupid thing to do. But the F.A. will do what they always do, only act when an incident becomes a big story, otherwise they will do sod all.

I'm sure they'll rush the decision so as to not allow him to play against City.  I thought bans only applied to competitions the event happened in?  Or is it European and England?

I think the only difference is European and domestic, if a player is sent off in the league and has a cup game next game, he will be banned for that also. But that also counts as a game so he will be back for the next league game.

It's a shame really because if it's a 3 match ban that means he will miss City and Villa, not sure who else, but those two are very important fixtures. Say what you want about Villa but they always get lucky regardless of  how sh*t they are there.

Telegraph now leading with 2 main sports stories:

One about does Diego Costa make the cut for the dirtiest ever PL 11

The other showing videos of the antics he got up to at Athletico.

Witch hunt well and truely kicking into gear.

For me the funny thing about this is that we are in a cup final and none of their poxy teams are.

The fact is that the campaign against Chelsea is relentless both in the newspapers and also on TV. The papers in particular love to stir up hatred against our club. The media are complete scum in my opinion.

You do it once you can walk away, twice it the problem here.

I think Costa is a bit unlucky as well. To me it seems like the first one was intentional and second one was not. Think from his reaction he also realised that but couldnt avoid the second one as it happened at some pace.

The good thing however it that We are at home to city, villa and everton are sh*t this season and most of all Remy is no mug. 7 points from the next 3 games for us and then we sit back and watch Stoke maul man city.
